WARNING!!!!avoid the following resteraunts!!!!

The only one on the list I agree with is the ABC Commissionary. Never really had anything there I liked. Tried the chinese, burgers, chicken. Other than that, the others have been great! :confused3

It sure is! Unfortunately, you didn't state any opinions. You just provided a list that was devoid of opinions. You need to elaborate if you want anyone to take your post remotely seriously.

I wanted to give a :thumbsup2 for the Akershus breakfast. We ate there last week and the service was wonderful. I can't drink OJ, and our server bent over backwards first to get me some milk, then to make sure everything else was to our liking.

I liked Flame Tree OK and the outdoor seating didn't bother us because it was actually cool when we were there (believe it or not). The barbecue seemed to be more of a vinegar base, and I prefer more of a sweet Memphis-style barbecue. But that is just a personal preference. It didn't stop me from devouring my lunch, though.

For CS at MGM, we ate at Rosie's. They have chocolate cake, and in my opinion you can never go wrong with chocolate cake no matter what the entree is. I had a burger, DD had chicken strips, and we split my cake since her kid's meal came with yucky unsweetened apple sauce. Would definitely eat there again rather than pay for a so-so sit-down meal. We also ate at Pizza Planet. Again, for the chocolate cake. The pizza tasted like Boboli, but I'll go back just for cake (see a running theme here?) ;)

disney is great but there are some resteraunts to avoid.
sci-fi dine in
les chefs de france
the flame tree
hollywood and vine
abc comissary
akershus royal banquet hall
beirgarten
big river grille
citricos
food quest.
so if you like these resteraunts that is your opinion but this is just mine. it is ok to have an opinion.
The list is meaningless because the OP does not provide any information about why these places should be avoided. Type of cuisine? Quality of service? Value? Wait time to be seated? Decor? Lighting? Convenience of location?

I consider Citricos to be the finest Signature Dining restaurant at WDW — excellent food, excellent service, and excellent wine pairings, in a beautiful room. Someone else might not like it because it's more expensive than a suburban chain restaurant, or because the don't serve hamburgers.

I've eaten at most of the places on the list, and I'd gladly go back to any of them.

The only one on the list I agree with is the ABC Commissionary.
I thought it was basically average as WDW CS goes. The only real problem was the loop of clips from ABC shows they were running on the TVs. I thnk some of the shows had been cancelled, and it was a pretty lame loop anyway. I know, its the ABC Commisary, so it technically makes sense to show ABC stuff, but it was lame no matter how you look at it.

I was really hoping the OP would come back and elaborate for us. Oh well. :confused3

I don't pay any attention when folks say to avoid a restaurant for this reason or that let alone they don't give a reason at all. To each his own. When it comes to how good the food or service was, thats just an opinion given by someone whos taste or likes is different from ours....smjj
:thumbsup2 I agree. 100%

I'm still wondering how the ribs were at Flame Tree.

We just got back. We had the ribs at Flame Tree and thought they were excellent, especially considering that Flame Tree is a counter service place. The weather was cooler, so eating outside wasn't so bad.

Biergarten is one of our favorite places to eat at...but then again DH and family are German ha ha

They do say brevity is the soul of wit.

And, I happen to love Chefs de France - French onion soup, salad, quiche, Croque Monsieur, yum! I think Flame Tree is one of the most fabulous CS locations with nice tender brisket and flavorful barbecue sauce. Sci Fi has the best burgers and crispy onions rings, and is now the only place for adult shakes. We love it there. The others we haven't tried yet. However, every person's tastes are different and sometimes particular dishes can be unusually good or bad on occassion, so I always take "reviews" with a grain of salt, especially ones without any reasons, illustrations, details or examples. :)

Its only a matter of opinion isnt it? I for example love Akershus and always have - the cold buffet is wonderful and will NOT be avoided by us. It is ruined now by people not primarily going for the food, which of course is different.
The restaurant I dont like but would never tell anyone to avoid is Raglan Road.

Great BBQ, imho. Even on a hot day, sitting in the shade by the water was pretty nice.

I pm'd the OP and got this response:

hello! i edited the post so come check it again.
chefs de france has just gone down hill since the last time we were there.
alfredos is absolutely wonderful.

I am so glad to hear that, Disneydancer. I just confirmed Alfredo's and dropped Chef's. And since daughter is part Italian, she thinks she should check it out!!

ABC Commissary is the only one that I would remotely agree with you on.

The rest.....especially Sci-Fi are some of our family favorites and must-do places when we go. :)

sci-fi dine in- the food was o.k.
les chefs de france- it has gone down hill since the last time we ate there
the flame tree- ribs were too dry
hollywood and vine- i guess just not my favorite
abc comissary- not a big fan of it.
akershus royal banquet hall- not a big norwegian food person
beirgarten-not a german food fan
big river grille- not a beer drinker
citricos- it's ok in my thought
food quest.- blah!!

Thank you for updating your original post. By adding a short reason to each restaurant, we now at least have an idea of why you think we should all "avoid" these restaurants.

For example, you don't like Beirgarten because you're not a fan of German food, and you don't like Akershus Royal Banquet Hall because you're "not a big Norwegian food person." That's very different than liking those cuisines, but finding fault with how those restaurants prepare and serve those cuisines.

I like German food. Even though I generally enjoy table service meals more than buffets, I really enjoyed Beirgarten. The food was well prepared; the buffet was kept up well; and the entertainment was fun.
