disney is great but there are some resteraunts to avoid.
sci-fi dine in- the food was o.k.
les chefs de france- it has gone down hill since the last time we ate there
the flame tree- ribs were too dry
hollywood and vine- i guess just not my favorite
abc comissary- not a big fan of it.
akershus royal banquet hall- not a big norwegian food person
beirgarten-not a german food fan
big river grille- not a beer drinker
citricos- it's ok in my thought
food quest.- blah!!
so if you like these resteraunts that is your opinion but this is just mine. it is ok to have an opinion.

We enjoyed the food at all the resturants except food quest since we've never been there.

Any reason about Chefs de France? My family wants to try Alfredos instead of Chefs.

Why do you say to avoid these restaurants? It would've been nice to know why people should a restaurant. You can't just say avoid something and not give a reason why.

I went to the Askerhaus for breakfast in Dec. '06 and had a good meal. The service was good, staff helpful, Princess's nice and we had a large party(9 people).

You are right, we are allowed to have our own opinions. Sometimes, though, reasoning may be needed to back up our opinions. So, please, don't flame me for asking why certain places should be avoided.

Can you please offer an explanation as to why we should avoid these restaurants? Was the food horrible, the service, or what was it about it that you didn't enjoy. I agree that everyone is entitled to their opinion, but I would enjoy hearing why you didn't care for these places so that I can know what to watch out for if I dine at any that I haven't eaten at before. Thanks! :thumbsup2

Either you are extremely picky/fussy or you have the worst luck with meals.

My hubby is like this, everywhere we go he has a problem, too salty, not warm enough, medum when he wanted welldone :guilty: - sometimes it's not worth going out with him - me on the other hand - excellent meals*/service all the time :goodvibes

*except the one time at PTC when I had food poisoning.

Can I ask the OP to tell us the restaurants that they DO like? :)

I was laughing so hard when I read this - my father is just like this! It drives my mother crazy

I don't pay any attention when folks say to avoid a restaurant for this reason or that let alone they don't give a reason at all. To each his own. When it comes to how good the food or service was, thats just an opinion given by someone whos taste or likes is different from ours....smjj

Yes does not make sense :rotfl:
I know whenever i try to go to ABC its always has a sign stating its closed.
I think it was the ABC.

:listen: If I may ask, exactly what was wrong with Flame Tree? I see nothing but raves (except for the outdoor seating bit :sad2: )

I wanted to try that so bad on our trip, but it was so hot out we went to Tusker House so we could get out of the heat. The food was good there, but I'm still wondering how the ribs were at Flame Tree. :) I'm hoping we can go during a little cooler time next time.

Sounds to me like someone is :stir: . They just ran down a list of some fairly popular places at least as far as I have read on Dis (going for the first time to WDW on honeymoon start of feb) yet they gave no reasoning behind it.JMO

Unless the OP can give us some reasons, it dosen't appear this thread should continue.

Even with good reasons I rarely will "avoid" a place. If I did that we would had eaten no where on this past trip.

I like finding out on my own about a place.

My guess is these are the OPs favourite places and they are trying to keep them to themselves.

Why avoid these restaurants? I have eaten at many of them and have never had a bad meal. :confused3

ATTN: Please avoid all of the following resteraunts because they have received a negative review on DIS.

All of them.

;)
