Wanting to visit WDW and Universal

Hello all! We had our first trip to WDW in April 2016!! We had a blast and now we are looking at going back (no dates yet but DS will be an adult by then). This time we want to include 2 days at Universal. My concern is the cost. I have looked at starting at Universal and then transferring to WDW, but it looks expensive for transportation too. Please share any thoughts, ideas and cost-saving tips if you have done this. Any guidance would be appreciated. Thank you in advance!
