So I have only been to dis once. Our next trip will be with the kids like last time. I was thinking for our 15th anniversary that just me and DW should go alone. Fly down for two nights and three days and just be us. How is Disney romantic? What have y'all done that's for adults there? Is there anything?

Try a DCL.
Have gone on 15th, 20th, and scheduled to go on 25th anniversary next year. It can be a very romantic trip. :thumbsup2
Include a Palo brunch and/or dinner and you should be all set.

There are a few options here. The night time displays at MK and Epcot are romantic. Maybe the decor of certain hotels like the Polynesian, Grand Floridian, Port Orleans (FQ and R) and the Animal Kingdom Lodge. Taking in the countries and cultures of Epcot World Showcase (especially, if her background is represented). Also, it would depend on the time of year. You could go down at Xmas time and take in the decorations. The fall and attend the Food and Wine Expo. Or the spring and see the flower expo.

Hope this helps.

I have to agree, I could ramble on but the PP has some good ideas. If it's your thing Victoria and Albert's is by far the top of the line. Step down to Yachtman's Steakhouse at the Yacht club or just find somewhere you both will enjoy the food.
Rent a boat and go for a cruise I hear the fireworks cruises are very nice, or even a boat from DD and just go for an hour or so.
Take a guided tour and learn more about what would interest you at the World.
We are leaving DS at home this trip and I'm looking forward to the boardwalk and checking out Jellyrolls and the dance hall.
OK I have rambled but with a bit of research the posibilities are endless (Did I mention Cirque de Soleil?)
Good Luck!

A couple of years ago, I took my mom to HS, Epcot and Cirque de Soleil. I only bought the tickets to Cirque because I knew that she liked that acrobat kind of thing. It was awesome. She talked about it forever. So, it's certainly a good adult activity. I would think Epcot would be great one for couples and it certainly could take 2 days.

Gee, where to begin?

We don't have kids, but go to Disney regularly.

World Showcase is great to do as an adult! Take your time walking around at all the different countries and sample the excellent adult beverages each has. Stick it out until Illuminations for a wonderful finish to your day.

We love walking around MK at night. That's when it's most magical for us. We always do the late night EMH's there, as there are less kids by the late hours and you can walk on a lot of the rides. We always have a blast. You can ride Pirates over and over!

And we love AK. Going as an adult, you can really take your time in all the animal areas to talk to the CM's and find out more about the animals. I love learning all kinds of interesting facts, and the AK CM's are full of great information. I've learned that many of the bats are on glucosamine (sp?) for their arthritis, that all the tigers are sisters and that's how they can live together without territory issues, and that there are new break through's in heart care involving tarantula venom! And on my last trip two weeks ago, I got to observe surgery on a rat!

(Yes, I know some of these things are NOT romantic, but it's something you might not be able to do if you had kids along with you.)

Dining at Disney is a very important part of our trip. We love trying out the signature restaurants, which can be very romantic. I highly recommend California Grill and Jiko!

in Feb...and here are just a few ideas that have been passed on to me....

1. Stroll along the beach of the Polynesian and watch Wishes

2. Dine at the California Grill and watch the Magic Kingdom fireworks from the observation deck. you probably will want to make a reservation!

3. take an evening carriage-walk at POR.

3. At POR, take a horse-drawn carriage ride.

4.Walk over to the Wedding Pavilion at the Grand Floridian

go to google and search "romance at Walt Disney World".
there's a lot of ideas there as well!

you will have a great time no matter what because you will be at WDW!!!

DH and I just got back from our first ever without kids trip. We had our anniversary dinner at Boma and while it wasn't quiet nor very private, we had great service and great food and the atmosphere and scenery is beautiful at the AKL. We sat by the fire pit upstairs after dinner and held hands and it was very cozy. DH remarked how it was perfect for our anniversary celebration meal. Indeed it was very comfortable and plenty of places where you can relax and sip an after dinner drink too. Make sure wherever you go to wear you anniversary pins and tell the cast you are celebrating too.

We just booked our 15th anniversary trip without kids:cool1::cool1:

I sooo can't wait :yay:

Our plans include:
Arrival - December 5 - we arrive in the evening so I'm thinking grab a drink, get into relaxation mode, take in some fresh Florida air, get settled in...

December 6 - Take it slow, grab a small breakfast, have ADR's at Whispering Canyon for lunch at 12:25. We are not fancy people and this suits us best. We have never been there, but plan to stay at WL on our next trip. Then spend the rest of the day chilling at DTD, maybe hop a cab to the mall if we run ahead of schedule. Dinner - casual...

December 7 - Start slow, maybe go see the chocoate carousel or a few other resorts. MVMCP at 4 - I drop.

December 8 - Start slow...eat a good breakfast, enjoy everything that we won't see for another year. Back to the airport mid afternoon. :sad2:

Can't wait!!! Karen
