WANTED: Mori Lee Bridal Gown Style #2409

Hi everyone!
I'm hoping that someone can help me find what could potentially be my dream dress. The dress is a Mori Lee Bridal Gown #2409. I've only seen the dress in pictures online and have called all the authorized retailers in my area in an effort to find a sample of the dress to try on, but no dice. I know I can just try similiar dresses on and then order THE dress and hope I like it, but I'd like to avoid doing that. What should I do?

boy - thats a tough one! i would still go and try on similar things, perhaps with a retailer that does sell those gowns because they could guide you to what would be similar and how they run?

i'm assuming you haven't tried on to many or any yet but i was surprised and now realize how many people do not either try on their exact dress or an exact dress in their size before trying to make a decision!! i wanted a dress at davids bridal but it was brand new and they had it in a 12 and no where else could we even get a bigger size so i could at least try on a dress that ZIPPED! great for the self esteem let me tell you!! just part of the whole bridal fun thing!!!

do try on a lot of things, people are always surprised by what they end up liking and maybe you can find the dress somewhere and at least see it in person? also, maybe try some different wedding boards looking for brides who chose/are choosing that dress? seeing one in "real life" even if on someone else may help!!

It has an option to find a retailer near you. Even if you have a travel a little bit, it may be worth it?

Ask one of the stores who carry mori lee if they can have the sample shipped from the designer to try on. They may charge you to do it (but will apply that money if you buy a dress there). Definitely don't buy before trying on! I was convinced I'd love a dress I has trouble tracking down but once I found it it looked terrible on me! And I tried on similar styles that looked great. Since I haven't even gone out and tried on some dresses, I'm hoping that trying similar dresses will make me more sure of how I feel about "my" dress. Aww I'm sorry. I wish I could help! But I just wanted to respond again, I definately wouldn't purchase the dress without trying on that dress or something very similar. Dresses look so much different on those models. I had picked out a couple of styles I liked and went to try them on, and it looked horible on me!!

Good luck in your search! I was in the same spot a few months ago and HAD to find Jim Hjelm 8857 (it too was a few years old so every store had gotten rid of their sample). The designer did have one though!

I came across this post because I am in the same predicament with the same dress. Was wondering what you ended up doing and if it worked out? I really want this dress but I need to try it on first!

I actually ended up falling in love with a different gown that I will not speak of since my Fiancee lurks these boards. I ended up looking at so many other dresses online before going to a salon. I was suppose to visit two salons, each for the designers they carry. I never ended up going to the second one because I couldn't get over my dress at the first salon. It's a happy ending, and hopefully you'll have the same luck. If I didn't find the dress I did I would have contacted the designer to have them send a sample to my salon. Good luck!!!
