GA demoers: events popping for Sept 1, 8, 22, 23, 29. Atlanta--Perimeter ST, Marietta, Duluth, Cumming, Bufrord, Rome.

And offdates for 8/29 & 8/30 in Marietta and Rome.

UPDATE: and now they are gone except for the Rome offdate and Union City on 9/22.

Still nothing..........just got my last paycheck and I'm afraid that might be it for awhile!!:sad1:

So nothing new added lately. I am wondering if they are waiting until the 5 Meijer events for Sept 22nd are taken?!! I already have two of the events scheduled for that day and would be willing to do two more on the 23rd but I really would like to have something else to add to that for the future! If we keep Meijer on the rolls then maybe I wouldn't mind referring someone else--otherwise I am kinda selfishly trying to keep as many jobs as possible for myself! Although if all the Meijer events can't be staffed maybe they won't want to work with MC.

how did you get 2 events for that day already? My coordinator said I have to wait within a week of the event day to book a double...

Also, are you doing two 5 hour events? so you are working 10 hours + drive time in one day?

I got an Archer Farms Cheese for 9/16 and Market Pantry Meatballs for 9/30. There was also a Super Target event for 9/29 (dip.)

How do you do a double book? If there are two events for the sme day--same time--do you just adjust the times so you can do two or are they two totally different events?

You have to have your coordinator do it as the Ebooking site will say ERROR YOU ARE ALREADY BOOKED FOR AN EVENT THAT DAY.

I have only done a double once and those were both a 4 hour event so the total working time was 8 hours plus then the driving time.

I am curious how they work out two 5 hour events on the same day, which is why I posed the question :rotfl2:

I mean do you work from like 11-4 then drive to your next event and then work 5-10pm? that seems a bit excessive for demoing, not to mention really late at night considering some stores close at 10pm around here.

Well, ok...here is the long form answer: A few weeks ago Danial (my coordiantor-yours too?) sent out an email saying that they had events left to book. There was one in my area available (someone must have cancelled it) but it was the same day that I was already doing one so I 'volunteered' to do it the next day. He emailed back and said it could not be done on Sunday but I could either do it Monday or do both on Saturday. I was not able to do it Monday so we agreed I would do both on Saturday I did one from 10-2 and the second was supposed to be 2:30-6:30 but I couldn't get there and set up by 2:30 so I did 3-7. These were both 4 hour events. And it was set up about a week prior to the events.

That is the back story --now to the 22nd---Danial once again sent out an email saying about available events almost all for the Sept 22nd at Meijers. I responded and asked him if I could 2 on one day again and I actually asked to do 2 Saturday and 2 on Sunday. I thought that it might be too far away and he would refuse but it was worth a try. He ignored the Sunday part of my request but said I could do the two on Saturday 10-2 and 2:30-6:30. They were origianlly 5 hour events and supposedly I will still get paid for 5 hours even though I am only doing 4 hours of each--we shall see about that.

I think they may be scrambling in my area for the 22nd because there are still 5-6 more events-all Meijer- to be booked in my immediate area. As for drive time my 1st one is literally 2 minutes from my house the 2nd one is about 7 minutes from that one. The last time I did two they were a bit further away from each other (15 minutes) which is why I ended up needing an hour between them- well, that and I so wanted to sell out of product at the first event that I shoud have started cleaning up earlier.

Now to where I got the original idea to do two in one day? Someone, somewhere on this thread posted that they had done that a handful of times--truely cannot remember who and when it was but apparently it registered in my brain.

So that is my long story. Short form is-I asked-they said yes!! Woooohoooo! It really has been a godsend for us that I am able to do these events and especially the doubles as my DH recently took a job after owning our own business for years and the job is not as financially rewarding as it was supposed to be yet and we really need the extra money coming in.

GA: Atlanta, Kennesaw and Columbus are posting.

ATL--Perimeter ST Sept 30
kennesaw Wal Mart Sept. 29
Columbus Winn Dixie Sept. 22

TONS of locations for Pink for the cure 10/28/07 Wal Marts has posted.

(I knew this "woman of a certain age" who can't sleep at night for HOT flashes thing would eventually pay off :) )

They go fast, I wanted the kennesaw walmart for the 29th but it was already gone... But I did get one for Oct.....
I took these 2 weeks off to spend with my kids.. We get so busy around here with football and stuff, I really didn't need to work this week or next... But I do have one for this Sunday, but not next.. It's my 12th anniversary!!!

Were these all Super Centers? None are showing up around here. We've got plain old Target and plain old Walmart, so we don't get as many.

Yes--I notice they are usually gone within HOURS (thankfully I am testing a new DB at work so pop over to ebooking to "track" them and post here while my program is running and I am waiting for it to blow up:) ) I just hope since I post here they are being grabbed by some fellow DISers:goodvibes

If these posts are annoying let me know and I can stop posting about "new events".

:thumbsup2 I got the Sun 10/28 Pink for a Cure at SuperWalmart. Thanks.

BTW, its Progresso soup & Yoplait. MICROWAVE needed. $12 more. :goodvibes

And there is ALREADY AN ADDENDUM TO THE INSTRUCTIONS.

Got the one for 10/28...and my fave WM was still available YAY
I also checked payroll and it seems that my check I was expecting this week isn't there..... AGAIN! Thank goodness I make copies of everything!!!

I like it when people post new events because it gives me a heads up to get my favorite store.
Unfortunately, not all regions get the new posting. There's nothing here past 9/22. There's only 2 of us that work SPi here (but not many jobs either) and 3 Walmarts, so I know it didn't get grabbed by someone else. TMT is another story, I have to grab those Target stores right away or I don't get them!

Well I got the 10/28 event.

Splash you're right there already is an ammedment to the instructions, however it looks identical to the event I am doing in 2 weeks at this country market store (6hour + MICROWAVE!!!!!) yeah I know shush, it is still $10 less than what you get paid  But it is still up near $96 for that single event.

This one is only a 5 hour, but the items are exactly the same, just going by a different event name. I won't argue money is money is money :)

I can't get back into payroll. I apparently misread the directions when I signed up and answered TWO security questions. Now they ask me questions that I didn't answer so of course my "answer" doesn't match their records! And if I leave it blank it tells me an answer is required. UGGG!!!! I plan to try to resign up this weekend and see if it will let me.

How do you get involved with TMT? Do they invite you in once you're with SPi? Things are very slow here! Also, is it typical for there to be a problem getting paid and having to submit copies? I made copies, but did a terrible job on the receipts and they are partially cut off.
