How do you get involved with TMT? Do they invite you in once you're with SPi? Things are very slow here! Also, is it typical for there to be a problem getting paid and having to submit copies? I made copies, but did a terrible job on the receipts and they are partially cut off.

Well, I don't know how often it occurs, but this is twice it's happend to me since I started (June).

Wow...talk about rude! I just got off the phone with SPI questioning weather or not they recieved my paperwork for the event I was expecting a paycheck for this week. She was very rude to me, letting me know how wrong I was to expect a paycheck. She told me they are nation wide and when they get to my paperwork and get it into the system, then i'll get paid. I told her it's always been 2 weeks from the event that I get paid, she again corrected me saying that I was wrong. It's not common to get paid like that every time. I'm just shocked at the behavior of this woman I spoke with. She said they will not look into it further until Monday, that I can call back then and fax my copies to them (that won't be happening as their fax machines do not work, found that out the last time after 4 attempts of me paying for faxes they say they did not recieve).
I told her from now on I will pay to send my reports proirity or with insurance or something that way I will know if/when they are receiving it.

That's awful!! But I can almost guarantee they look at it Monday either.....it's Labor Day!

Every once in a while, it takes 3 weeks for me to get paid. Not sure why. I'll bet those times cause alot of phone calls asking where's pay when they are already busy. I email co-ordinator or payroll to ask after a few days.

Oh....and I'm one who can't get into ADP anymore, so I always preface it by saying "I hate bothering you but since I can't access ADP any longer & no one seems to be able to help with that, could you look......". hehehehe yes, i'm passive aggressive.

Even getting priority and delivery confirmation won't help at all. It may say the SHIPPING/RECEIVING received it on such and such a date, but you don't get paid unless the ACCOUNTS PAYABLE department receives your paperwork by the previous Friday. I have tried that whole route... it is just a waste of money because it doesn't make the Shipping part of the company deliver your paperwork to the accounting department ANY FASTER! you just help pad the USPS's pocket. I just checked ADP i have a check for my events on 8/11 and 8/15 cut today (I should of had 2 more events from the 18th and 19th as well because I mailed them 8am monday morning to allow them ample time to be received by the 24th cut off).

Basically the way I see it, they have a certain amount they can give out per week and once they hit their budget amount, thats it no more events gets paid in that pay period. I mean seriously, one time I mailed 6 events in one envelope (meaning they all arrived the same time) I got paid on that package for 3 straight weeks!!!! 2 events in each paycheck.... That is when I started thinking they do not like to pay out large amounts at one time.

Lparente - TMT is another staffing agency MC uses. In my area, TMT has the Target events (don't have STs here) and SPi has the WM/SWM events. Are Target events, not Super Targets, showing up for you at all? If not, maybe TMT has the Targets in your area too. In that case, you’d need to contact MC to ask to be assigned to an additional agency. If you give me your zip code, I can check my TMT login for anything in your area. Right now, the only events I know of at a “regular” Target are the ones going on this weekend.

I dont have alot of the events you guys have showing up but for my area right now tehre are a lot of winn dixies... altho no event insrauctions so i took a chacne and booked them anyway. I had pink showing up as well as a cq cosmetics bit other than that i think the other 20 events (were winn dixie).
As far as dates i am showing a lot for sept and one for 10/10 which is WD again. Im with spi if it makes a difference.

Did anybody get an email about their headshot? I got an emailtoday saying that my recently submitted heashot does not meet requirements and that if i dont submit a new one its grounds for termination. Well i emailed back cuz i havent submitted anything and the headshot i last submitted was when i got hired last year. Sometimes i wonder how together they have their act and from what you guys post on here andthe emails ive gotten, everyhting seems to be grounds for termination these days.

I think we've found your problem or at least some it. TMT (The Merchandising Team) must have the Target events in your area. Searching 20 miles, I see the Kraft, Garden Harvest at Waukesha for 9/1 and searching even further, 50 miles, the Pepsi event for Sunday, 9/2, is at the Target in Grafton.

I'd contact MC, not SPi, and let them know you'd like to be assiged to an additional agency in your area that does the Target events too. Good luck.

If you're not busy Saturday (1-5) or Sunday (11-3) you might just want to visit your local Target and check out the competition.

thanks well i gues ill just cut of the one i initially submtted last year and resubmit that one, hopefully it will be good if not they can jsut send me another email. i find it so hard to believe that it took them a year to figureo ut that they didnt like what i submitted, its professional for crying out loud..lol, may just have to do a self portrait here at home and send that in instead..lol..

on another note has anybody had an event show up for breakfast anytime - grans openings, just curious as it has no instruction, i booked it cuz there nothing else, i booke dit for 3 days so lets hope its a good one...lol

My DW does not like to do these events... I see them as the EASIEST MONEY one can ever make! stand there and sell a product... and get paid twice what the actual workers get??? no brainer!

But.... I did get my dad to sign up about 6 months ago. He has not done an event yet, but I am thinking we will get a chance to do two events at the same store when the 9/22 events go off date. That will make it easy on him.

I am such an idiot!! I grabbed my MC info and looked for my contact person. I realized after I sent the email requesting an additional agency that I emailed SPi. Is my career now over?? How can I fix my major mistake?
