Wasn't TMT a sister company to SPi and thus both children of MC? I was never part of TMT because I guess they just don't play well together in Michigan but That is the way I thought of it.

I don't think much will come of the e-mail. ALthough it might be looked upon as you telling your Girlfriend (Spi) that you think their sister (TMT) is hot and you would like to date them both.... hahahaha just kidding, I think you are alright.

LParente - It seems a lot of people who do demos work for multiple demo companies so they probably won't think too much of it. Go ahead and contact Mass Connections. Let us know what happens. And once you're "hired" by TMT, ask back here about the "ins and outs" of TMT.

I just got a response back from Daniel saying I was able to double book a Meijers Event on 9/22. they are both 5 hour events but because I am double booked I was able to work (as stated in a thread earlier here) 10-2 on my first one and then 2:30 - 6:30 for my 2nd one.

Wow, both are microwave events so we are talking $164 for a sunday 8 hour shift.. Nice!

Great opportunity! :thumbsup2 I may have to get in on this gravy train. No one has picked up a Meijer that’s a 15 min. drive from the Meijer I’m at so this could work for me too. Did Daniel indicate you’d get ebooking rate and 5 hour pay for both events?

I told him to NOT book me if my requirements (working 4 hours for both, getting paid 5 hours, and both on-date Ebooked) and he said no problem I booked you.

Also I found that Ebooking "price" was removed and no longer exists. The Ebooking rate has been assimilated into the "rate for requirement" section. Pay is still $70 for 5 hour events but that is now made up of Base Rate $50 + On Date Rate $8 + rate for requirement (which ebooking is NOT listed as required to get this amount) $12 = $70.

So that is good news all around. I remember I always talked about that with them when getting them to add an event that I could not book for some reason. They replied back you don't get docked for non-ebooking anymore... It never clicked in until just now. so :thumbsup2

I will write on the bottom of my report forms that Daniel authorized the Double booking/time and the 5 hour pay rate even though event was only 4 hours long because of the double events.

brivers, im glad to see that you write at the bottom of the event form. Do any of you also do that. I seem to do that quite often, to explain no kits or other issues. I have never had an issue but was wondering if im the only one that does that.
Oh I forgot to tell y ou all that I got audited on saturday for the soft and fresh. THe girl came in, introduced herself and said she just needed a picture.

I grabbed my MC info and looked for my contact person. I realized after I sent the email requesting an additional agency that I emailed SPi. Is my career now over??

I wouldn't worry about it! They do work with each other to a certain degree. Eighteen months ago, TMT was the only MC agency in my area. They lost the Walmart and Kmart jobs around the end of the year. In February, I got an email from SPi asking me if I wanted to work for them. They said all I had to do was reply yes and they would get my paperwork from TMT!
I also sent my paperwork to the wrong agency one time. They called me to tell me they would send it to the right agency and that my check would be late because the other agency was getting the paperwork late.

brivers - I had no idea the ebooking rate was not applicable anymore. That is good news.

dodukes - I frequently put comments at the bottom of my Store Report form. I figure this is my means of communicating with them.

I do that all the time!!

My usual is in bold below

* 5 HOUR
* ON-DATE
* Toaster Oven or Microwave brought
(if applicable)
* Took XXmins for Kmart to locate kit so that I could run event (yeah, i really hate that they don't give us the kits...it wastes so much time tracking down a manager and getting your kit!)
* CUSTOMERS WANTED COUPONS!!!!! (if coupons were not included in kit)

OMG!!! I teach fifth grade and today was my first day back to work, so naturally I'm massively depressed! I read your response at lunch and just about spit my Diet Coke all over the screen! It definitely brightened my day! No response from SPi. Maybe the hot sisters are cat fighting!

same here on both counts :thumbsup2

Dodukes - i've never seen an auditor in the 1+ yr I've been doing this. The girl I met last weekend says she's been with MC for a few years & has never seen one either. But she has from her other companies. When MC used to list their audit award winners on the website, I never noticed anyone winning from New England. I don't think we have auditors here for some reason.

MASSACHUSETTS DEMO PEOPLE --- CHECK YOUR EMAIL!!! HEADS UP

Just got email from Daniel about HUGE event in Boston that's not in the system yet. Looking for 5 people for each shift. 3 different shifts per day. (15 people per day if I'm reading that right) Sept 17 - 23 $78 for 4 hours = $19.50 per hour

You'll be at different Boston MBTA subway stations handing out full size chocolate bars & seed packets. Manufacturer is Seeds of Change. You a get tshirt too. http://www.seedsofchange.com/

They are suggesting you take the T in since parking is not available. (For others reading, the T is Boston's subway system. Short for MBTA.)

I'm going to have to look into this & see how long it would take for me to get there by commuter rail & how much it would cost.

Splash - I know you don’t have instructions yet, but I wonder if there is a pickup location or if they bring the candy bars and seeds to your “handing out” location? Just thinking if you’re using public transportation to get to the event that it would be a pain if you had to lug the product from one spot to another. Just a thought.

Do you think I can talk MC into paying my commute expense on an event already paying extra? :confused3

Commuter rail fair from where I live to Boston is $7.75 each way. $78 event pay - $7.75 twice a day = $62.50 for 4 hrs work or $15.62 per hour. Plus like 1.5 hours EACH way on the train. (FYI - In MA we have that $10 bonus so it comes to $16.50 / hr on 4 hr events or $16/hr on 5 hr events. So after travel, I would actually be getting paid less than normal.)

Work 4 days & I could make $250 after travel expenses. :confused3 I can't work more days than 4 since I already have other events. The 4 days on that event would be working 7 days in a row actually.

There were some instructions with the email. We will get the supplies from a person when we get there. (All items provided by the client at the subway station.) It already lists the persons name & cell phone #. It says we will get the script when we get there. BUT if the script is available ahead of time, they'll email it out.

Hey good point though about having to take stuff on the train. It doesn't say anything about a table. It does say to wear standard event attire incase shirt doesn't fit.

Splash- do you think your going to do this? I would also be anxious to know if they would pay for travel since ill be comming on the commuter rail from Bridgewater State College. Im thinking about trying to take 4 or 5 days. Do you think they would alllow doubles on something like this? I kind of like the idea of not being alone...

especially in Boston. lol
Thinking about it. But thinking maybe I should take less days. Working 7 days in a row & all that traveling might just kill this old lady.

I don't think we can do doubles because the scedules overlap. Since we are with other people I'm thinking we can't change the time. Besides, we have to meet the lady to get our stuff.

I can take 9/17 - 9/20. I have events 9/16, 9/21 & 9/22. What days are you interested? Also, I don't know anything about the stations that are listed. I would be coming into South Station as I would guess you would. I would be coming all the way from the Worcester station.

Do you think they'll be listed under BOSTON or the surrounding towns? I don't know what towns those stations are in. Are they actually IN Boston? I'm going to have to expand my search to watch for them.

Can you tell this country girl doesn't go to Boston very often? lol We could have lunch at Quincy Market. I'll have to bring my camera. hehehehe
