I was an hour away today and saw a demo sales person wearing what looked like motorcycle chains and a black leather vest over his white shirt, he had on black jean pants and black boots.... He was wearing a black leather hat, giving out samples of pet food..... Kinda strange, he walked by me a few times but never said a word to me....

Don't think I will do this location again, way too far with traffic..... took an hour and 30 mins to get home.... but worth it for the coppertone event..

Did anyone else Coppertone on 6/22 get unbooked. I have had this happen before and am wondering if the event was cancelled or was it an error.

My event is still there... Hopefully it will stay there.. I need the money... but I have been on all morning and haven't seen the event pop back up.... so maybe they did unbook it for you... what store was it at?

Well I had one event unbooked a few weeks ago..... hate it when they do that... actually I had 2 events unbooked in the last couple of months...
hope something else pops up for you!!

Hi, If anyone works for TMT there are 3 new events that popped up for july.. 7th, 20th and the 28th... Go get them!! Good Luck!!
Oh they let me back in after I apoligized for not letting them know, they said they would have to unbook the events.. But I have been trying for 4 days to get them to unbook the event on July 8th but no reply yet..
hopefully that means new events will be popping up for soon!!!!

Nothing showing up on my TMT acct yet. I'll keep a close watch this afternoon for them though. Were they for Target Wenpop?

Yes they were target... Lipton tea stix, keebler crackers, and sun shower something.....

Do you have to wear your hat and apron to a non-food demo? Or are you not susposed to wear them?

I'm doing the snag golf game tomorrow. It does not say to bring them under what to bring.

I think I can only recall a few non-food where I didn't wear my hat, but I've always worn the apron unless I was given a special t-shirt to wear.

But a golf event does seem weird with an apron, unless the pockets could come in handy for balls & pamphets. I think I would wear the hat for a finished look....maybe.

I notice that don't always list the hat & apron even when it is obvious that we need them with food.

You get to be your own boss tomorrow & make the executive decision on what you want to wear. ;)

All I do are non-food demos and you don't have to wear a hat. You wear the black apron unless one is provided in your kit from the company or as splsh said, you get a special t-shirt to wear.:thumbsup2

To be on the safe side, I’d wear both the hat and apron. I’ve only done three non-food events and Coppertone provided a special T-Shirt and hat and the other two only had the apron listed in the “What to bring” items of the Event Instructions, but I still wore the hat. But then again, their Consumer Connector on the front page of their website is passing out a cup of food with no gloves, apron, or hat. :confused3

From the FAQ“What am I required to wear at my event?
A white or black collared shirt or blouse, black skirt or slacks, black closed-toe shoes, a black cap and black apron are required. Some clients provide special apparel, which will be included in your event kit. Jewelry should always be conservative. No tattoos or piercings (only modest ear piercings) should be visible. When sampling and serving food, gloves must always be worn and changed when they become soiled.”

I also found this in the FAQ“Why is my project/event unbooked?
When events are cancelled or rescheduled by a manufacturer, the system may show that you unbooked your event. If this happens, please select another event to work.”

Why not use wording appropriate for the situation. Why make it look like I unbooked something when I didn’t.

Thanks Wenpop for the TMT/Target info. Those events are still not showing up here. Would really like to add 7/8 & 7/20 to my schedule.:goodvibes

all of my non-food events have never listed a hat! Your instructions will tell you if a hat is needed. Good luck!:thumbsup2

Have fun tomorrow everyone. Me & my "cardboard singing friend Julie" are doing Asian Sensations / Red Baron. She's kind of pain though & in my way. ;)

well today i do my last event, nothing else i have been able to book and i looked last night and it looks like i missed an opportunity for kmart on 6/30 so i guess this wil be it for the month im doing hersheys wave thing today, anyone lse.

oh crap i just found my paperwork for my last event, argh!!!! i hope it wont be a problem getting paid, no wonder i hadnt been apid yet!...ugh!

Back from Asain Sensations & Red Baron Singles. If you have this event coming up.... DO NOT FOLLOW THE COOKING TIMES IN THE DIRECTIONS! They are toooooo long. :headache: Directions for pizza said 3 to 3.5 minutes, while the box says 1min 20 sec to 1 min 35 secs...until cheese melts. (my microwave was about 1 min 40 sec) BIG DIFFERENCE!!! (I kept reading the directions over to make sure those times weren't for 2 pizzas. I cooked 1 at a time.) And I sold alot more pizza AFTER I noticed that. They aren't supposed to be really crispy. ;) Oh.... and I'm bringing a rolling pizza cutter to my next 2 events. Cutting pizza with a knife is hard. It drags the cheese & doesn't really cut the crust.

Egg rolls..... I was surprised how well these went over! :thumbsup2 I sold out of chicken (only had a few), then vegetable, then all but 2 of the pork & shrimp. At $2 a box, people were buying a couple of boxes. Everyone liked them. I sold 42 boxes. Could have sold more it there were more. 2min 30 secs for 2 egg rolls worked well for me. Oh...and the egg rolls are good size. I was cutting them into 4 or 5 pieces instead of 3. No complaints from anyone.

I sold 66 boxes between egg rolls & pizza. WOW!!!!!

Got my check today. Another big one!!! Grossed $406!! Gonna miss this $ this summer.

Time to study & take the online quiz for tomorrows Diet Pepsi MAX at Target. Get ready for hyper-active kids!

ETA: It wasn't even anything to do with the product!! It was just about how to do a Target demo & their rules. sigh

I guess I'm off to look at www.dietpepsi.com now.

Splash - Thanks for the cooking times for the Pizza. That will help me for Tuesday. I have a small pizza cutter that I'll through in too.

Hershey Event was real slow today. Very few people wanted to sample. :sad2: I only sold two bags and two bars. It took KMart 10 min. to find my kit and 20 more min. to find the Crispy Crunch bars in the wrong size. Weekend line told me I could buy the larger bar to sample. I arrived at the store at 10:40 and checked out the product I could find at 11:08 while they kept looking for the candy bars. Finally, at 11:20 I was able to check out the candy bars. I'm not doing Diet Pepsi Max tomorrow as I'm taking my daughter to camp for a week. Tuesday is Red Baron/Asian Sensation.

I had the PowerAde and Cheerios demo today. I really liked the 9-2 shift. It was great to actually be home at a decent hour to take the kids to the pool.

Eventhough it dragged from 9-11 I took my break and then from 11:30-1:45 I was slammed with customers wanted to sample everything. I honestly lost track of what I sold because of constantly having to fill cups, cut up granola bars and pour cereal. THe troops were hungry today.

I totally forgot to tell people to go ALLLL The waaay to the Lawn and garden section to do the first tee demo:eek: The other event personal came and found me and told me that hardly anyone came over there. Oops my bad:rolleyes: I unbooked my PepsiMax demo for tommorrow. I am going to spends some time with my honey after all it is Dad's day. But it was hard to unbook because demo's are really scarce right now.
