Can we talk about your sales technique?
I know this isn't a competition, but I always seem to sell less than anyone posting #s here.

Often, when I total up my sales, I'm surprised at the low # sold on some products. Sometimes I think I have higher expectations on certain products.
In my prior banking & insurance experience, I had a low key sales approach. I was much happier educating the customer on the product, & then let them decide. I didn't try to "close" the sale. I know peoples $ is tight, I don't try to talk them out of it. Customer always liked me. I was very popular with them. They trusted me.
So....I guess I do the same with sampling. I smile. Get people to come to my table. Talk about product & price...throw in my own personal spin. People are friendly & chat it up. Hmmm, that's good. BUT, no sale.

My last 2 events -- warm delights & candy bars I guess really surprised me the most. My stores are average income for MA - possibly even a little bit lower average for MA. But probably higher than National average. Definitely not the wealthy Boston suburbs. Some stores mostly white middle class non-management workers - English speaking. Some stores a mix of nationalities -- and a significant amount of non-english speaking.
So, are you "closing" the sale? ex: "How many candy bars would you like to purchase today?" Are you in affluent stores that people don't need to even think about the cost of something?
Just wondering what I'm doing wrong, or what I can improve on?

Sometimes, I even wonder if its me. I mean my weight. I'm not HUGE. But honestly, maybe an overweight person selling fattening food is a sales killer. lol That's why I don't do the SlimFast demos. lol
