Dragonfly,

thanks for that link. I thought the best I could do was 32. at biglots but I am going to check out best buys for this one. I need one for the baber food demo on the 2nd.

Got to spend some of my Disney money today. Took all my princess to see Disney on ice and they even got souvenirs. See life aint to bad now that mom is gone every weekend. :goodvibes

For those interested the Wine instructions are up....
ETA: I'm a bit miffed... I just got a follow up email from Nikki stating
"Each event will pay $68 plus she earns an extra $10 for training. Total for each event is up to $78.00"
It's advertised as up to $83 not $78... I responded, pointing out that the advertisment says $83 & asking again if the training compensation is only paid once or for every event I execute...

And I'm supposed to buy a roll of paper towels in the housegoods department, since when does a liquor store have a housegoods department?? We are supposed to refuse samples to people who appear to be inebriated.. oh I can see that!
And Hello... a Dump Bucket.. ummm, this event deserves extra for having to deal with spit! I'm just praying most people will drink it.. I'd better watch Sideways again to brush up on the tasting technic ;)

That reminds me, Have you ever seem Monty Python? They had a routine about drool buckets. :rotfl2: I don't see anything about crackers or anything to cleanse the palete? Oh this is going to be fun. :thumbsup2

I don't know who does the events for Walmart... They have some in my area,
I would love to find who it is!!

Where do we leave your coat & boots I wonder?

I had this question about a pocketbook when starting, but I've greatly reduced what I bring into the store now. But with cold weather here, I've got to bring a coat now.

Service desk doesn't like to hold anything it seems. Just leave it in the break room?

When I worked at a grocery store yrs ago, I remember coat areas near time clocks, but I haven't noticed anything like that now. Unless its behind a door that needs a special code or key? :confused3

As long as it isn't too bulky, you could stuff the coat in the middle of the table before you put the top on... I had to do a demo when it was tropical storm like rain & thats where I stored my rain coat.

Hey, that's a smart idea. :thumbsup2 And I could put my boots in a bag this winter & do the same thing.

You guys are the best co-workers. :goodvibes

The pear event is in CT too...and still NOTHING for December! :sad2:

No pears events here in PA. Are you with Spi or TMT? Maybe it's the difference in agencies. TMT seems to be getting no new events. Don't know if they are going to be losing the MC contract too or what :confused3

Susan

I'm with SPi...but I've not seen the same volume of events here in CT that many of the others here appear to have in their states.

I'm in the Wichita area. How about you??
I don't have any events now until I get moved over to SPi. I had my only 2 events 1 week apart in Sept.! Hope when this all get's worked out with MC and SPi, I'll have more to choose from! I do work so I can't do as many days as other people on here do.
I signed up in May and my 1st event was not until Sept. so don't feel bad!

I'm in the Kansas City area. I am a stay at home mom so I am doing this to supplement the income my other half recieves. It's good to know that I am not the only one that this process has taken so long for! :)

There is a event for pears at Walmart Supercenters on Fri 11/17 showing up.

I book this event... Please tell me this is a fruit and not some other wierd feminine product. 'Cause that Kotex was weird enough for me. ;)

TMT has events for Super Targets in November, I'm nicely booked thru 11-25 and then nothing until the Mineral Sheers event at Ulta 12/9.
I was hoping to have events thru the end of December then apply for a "real" job in January. Hard to give up the money -- paid a lot less as a preschool teacher.

I am too! I gotta tell you, competition for jobs here is getting feirce! You have to check the website often to get jobs. I have gotten jobs when I am looking diligently, but I was busy this week and only looked twice and have nothing for next week.

I wish you luck and lets hope some people quit!

Oh, and sometimes there are events at 119th and Metcalf Target, because many people won't work with this woman that is there. She works for Target and is on a power trip, and tells us what to do and insists on signing papers even though she is not a manager. I just tell her I got docked $30.00 once and though I would be fine with her signing, I cannot get docked again! I figure with the other things that I can let most of it go (like she tells me where to set up and what serving trays to use, etc...) if she needs that to feel important what do I care. Be careful though, she also tries to send us on break at the same time, which is a huge MC no no, so I just tell her I am afraid an auditor will come and I do not want to be penalized. She usually says we won't but I just tell her that I want to follow my company's rules.

Good luck!

lol, it's fruit. But since I don't like pears, I actually had to find somewhere online to learn how to pronounce comice pears. I booked it, but don't make me eat one. ;)

http://www.thefreedictionary.com/Comice click the little speaker to hear it pronounced. :) co-meece
