I ran into a co-worker from the insurance agency today while doing Honeycombs at Walmart in that town. And of course, it had to be the boss's pet. I can see her now....."Boss, I ran into J handing out cereal at Walmart" I spotted her first & actually tried hiding. But she came up another aisle & ended up seeing me. We chatted for a while. I got filled in on the office gossip & problems....and I tried to not give away any more info about my life than I had to.

She bought 2 boxes of cereal because I gave her a coupon.

I always figured I would see insurance customers while in that store. Never really thought about running into employees because I assumed they would be at work. I forget about her. The one who never goes into work....especially if its nice or if its summer or if its Mon or Tues or Wed or Thurs or Fri........ You get the idea.

The food section person was out sick today. I had to go wading thru pallets of stuff in the back room to find more Honeycombs....then convince someone to help me get them out. Gotta love Walmart.

I beg to differ on that. I'm not poor but easy money is hard to turn down.

Is anyone doing SNAG golf game?

There's three here that haven't been picked up and I"m hoping those will turn into off-dates. Maybe I should give up teaching and just give out samples. I can see my mom now, "You got a Ph.D to give out samples. What is wrong with you?'

I'm doing the golf one in a few weeks. Finally got the instructions and it really looks simple LOL I'm glad it's 9-2, I prefer that over working till 4 or 5.

LOL. Me too. (BS in computer science). My parents & DH have been cool with it so far. I keep waiting for parents or DH to ask me when I'm getting a "real" job again.

I'm glad I have everything printed. I too know how "upgrades" tend to go. I was a computer programmer for 12 years before becoming a SAH mom 11 years ago. I can't remember any "upgrades" going as planned.

At the insurance agency, we once had a "one day upgrade" take 5 WEEKS. No computer for 5 WEEKS! Glad I wasn't the one who screwed that up.

I'm packed for tomorrow's double event. Honeycombs/Cocoa Pebbles and then Green Giant Simply Steam vegies.

What the heck is that cardboard cooler & why do I need it? I keep my purchased product in a bag marked "hold for demo" right behind me or near me in a frozen food case where product is sold. And its just an open box? Are you supposed to line it with a trash bag before putting ice in it? And no lid? I don't think I'm going to use it, but I'm bringing it.

Also not going to use the serving utensil set they sent. Although its a really nice set, its too large to fill those little cups. I'm bringing a couple of spoons from home instead.

Last question....how long of a break do you take BETWEEN double events? Daniel said I had to work each event 3.5 hrs. I was thinking of taking an hour in between. Is that too long? In that hour, I need to swipe out, take kit 1 out to car & get kit 2 & microwave, call in results, activate card again, and EAT before shopping for product & swiping in again. (Not much of a break, huh? lol) I guess I'll just get a manager to sign off on both events at the very end.

He wants me to start at 10am. Store is 40 miles away. Looks like I'm getting up earlier than I like too. Leave house around 9am.

10am - 1:30 event #1 cereal
1:30 - 2:30 break
2:30 - 6pm event #2 vegies

Hopefully be home around 7pm. I figure an hour break since its a LONG day.

More questions from me... the newbie. SNAG golf game? What's that? Also do you always know where to find your kit at the store? Do you check in with manager as soon as you get there (as far as where the kiit is-or do you just go on back to fin d it?)? Does your demo time include set up time or you have to BE set up by the "10:00" hour (or whatever time your scheduled to work)? Remember -I just sent in my fax yesterday, so I don't know much yet. Just gettin g some inside scoop before I officially begin. One other thing- I have twins that are 15 (March), I think I read you have to be 16- right? Checking...

Wal-Mart kits are delivered to your house

K-Mart kits are somewhere in the back and the customer service desk makes you go back there and get them

Target will bring them to them to you

I've done jobs for Harris Teeter grocery store and that's been 50-50

My daughter is 16 and they wouldn't let her apply online until she turned 16

So do you all transport everything to the store in this box or do you transfer it to something smaller?

I load up a big cloth shopping bag with my supplies and ditch the box at home. That way I can store the empty cloth bag easily under the table. They ask us not to have boxes at the table, so this way I don't have to take the box to the back.

Oh, and another question...it states to wear the tshirt, hat and pin provided. I assume i'm to wear my black pants?

Sometimes they tell us we can wear khaki pants with the Tshirt, but that would be clearly stated in your instructions. Wear black pants unless told otherwise!

Also do you always know where to find your kit at the store?

At my Kmart, they are always in the managers office. The service desk calls the manager, and they tell me to go back to the office. Some managers will carry my box out and show me where to set up, others have me carry it out after telling me where to set up.
At Target, I'm always sent to the back to help locate the kit, sometimes not so successfully.

New homepage is up this morning. Booking engine is still the same. Didn't find anything yet about reporting results on-line like the homepage mentioned before, but haven't looked over everything.

Just looked at my instructions for the SNAG GOLF GAME. My son has participated in this program before. It is a truly great program. I am so excited. Unfortunately we did not participate this year because I do demo's on Saturday and could not commit to the 8:45 am practice time


No new events just picked up an off date Garnier demo. Oh man I guess I will do a lot of shelf straightening that day
