I have the Hershey event tomorrow. I hope they didnt open up my box and eat the truffles, they come in the kit . The kmart I was at today had the box sitting htere unopend but I will be back at my normal kmart otmorrow and there boxes are always open....im kinda hoping its not there...LOL, its been a long week and Im not loking forward to standing there for 5 hours. Oh well at least this is it for me til 4/29, need to keep training for my ride on the 4/21-22 and also take a break.

Also time for me to vent, someone from MC by me booked an event and was a no show. This has happened more than once. Maybe the person got sick last minute or ?

I'm doing the Cacao Truffles too.. (how do you pronounce Cacao?!).. I saw my kit yesterday but I too am secretly hoping it'll disappear...

Yesterdays event really did me in.... I think I was mystery shopped but if I was, she was the RUDEST person ever... she walked straight up to the table (a pasty trashy white girl) barely looked at the package & said "anti breakage huh.. so what's the deal with it?" I started to tell her that it was marketed to ethnic hair when her cell phone rung, she stood in front of my table yelling at BF or someone... hung up & then stood firm.. "so what makes this so different"... I gave her about 3 key points, and she proceeded to take a sample, ask if there was a coupon in the brochure, I told her a $1 off. She picked up one of the full size products from the table (without even looking at which one it was) Literally screamed for her 5 kids, whom I'd not seen until then & walked away, yelling at them the down the aisle. Now I could be dead wrong, her DD's obviously had an african american dad so maybe she WAS interested but her questions & the fact that she didn't even care which product she 'decided to purchase' pointed to a mystery shopper.

This has happend to me too, Sometimes when I cant take and event for whatever reason or its a cooking one that i never take and I'm interested, Ill go by (only target) and see if i can get a sample, Ive also been curious on how other demoers in m area do their stuff, well 2x now, i have never seen anybody, it aggravates me cuz I would love to pick up an offdate if i could ir just cuz darn it i wanted to try the prodcut!!...like enviga!..lol

Well maybe your girl and my girl were the same, she didnt ask any questions, this one girl comes up, walks bee line for me but right before she gets to me she bumps into someone she knows, well she keeps walking towards me, is turned around talking to this other person and when she gets to my table just sticks her hand out and doesnt even say anything she is still talking to this other person. It was my last sample and i wi8sh i was out so i could be like sorry we ar out. But anyway she just kept talking and that was that, hen she was done she walked away. I KNOW she had no clue what i gave her, she jsut saw a table and went for free sample.

But yes altho id want the pay for the 5 hour hersheys (altho i dont see the tines lasting that long) i wish it would dissapear..lol i am tired from yesterday and its been a long week, on the other hand i wished that more about yesterday event, i kinda like the kmart ill be at today, everybody is really nice and they know me already, its the only store that recognizes me and the employess know ill hook them up with samples and coupons if i have many extras, like the kotex one a few weeks ago.

Todays Hersheys event went pretty quickly.. not a huge amount of people but enough to keep me busy & all but a very few really liked it... I had at least two people complain to me that Hershey's is outsourcing to Mexico, when I pointed out that these were made in Canada I had to hear about that too... Can't please everyone!

I am pretty proud of myself too.. I've been on Weight Watchers for a few weeks now & normally would have sampled a few myself but I didn't even have a nibble! And Chocolate is my downfall!!!

BTW there is NOTHING in a 30 mile radius for the next 2 mths... ugh..

I just checked the site for Events last night, and then I checked it today, and now there are no events at all 100 miles from me in 2 months, but Last night there were 15 events available... I wonder what happened to them.... I don't think 15 people picked them today, I wonder if they are working on the site....... I hope so, I was waiting to pick up a couple of off dates soon.... oh well, I guess I will wait till tomorrow, maybe it will be back to normal....

Yes I had the same thing happen, I know there has been like 7 open evetns and those werent comingup, so i think they are probably working on the site.

I was wondering if I was the only one that got the milk choco only. The instructions said youd get both but i only got milk, ok well at least it wastn just me. The only drawback for my people was the price, even on sale at $2 a lot of people wouldnt buy, only sold like 30 estimated of course cuzx i cant keep track of the ones by the registers, i know i got 20 or so from my table sold...

Not to be a downer or anything. Not sure where on Cape Cod you live, but I can tell you the only town that does show up is Hyannis (Kmart). And Wareham & Plymouth off cape. I had hopes a year ago of staying at parents on summer weekends & occasionally doing some events, but decided not to for 2 reasons. I figured I was cutting into some old ladies territory (LOL) and there really wasn't much listed. I was better off staying in my MA area.

Plymouth has weekday & weekend events that are consistantly not booked. No idea why. I live too far from there to find out if its the store or management or just no one in the area. Hyannis gets booked most events...occasionally its not.

Good luck. You'll probably just need to be quick to book when something gets listed. Also, for some odd reason, Hyannis Kmart seems to get alot of different events than other Kmarts here in MA. Alot of vitamin & health stuff. But not just that...it gets snacks too. It must be the older population / retirement area thing.

My parents live in Dennis by the way.

If you decide you like this kind of work, you might be one of the people who may wish to apply with multiple companies that do this type of work. Other companies that include your grocery stores or CVS on the Cape....since you really lack any Targets or Walmarts there. Some stores may hire their own people too.

I personally kept that and aluminum foil. I keep those as supplies. I have 3 more of these to do so I wont buy anymore spray but maybe aluminum foil.

Thank you SO much for your response! I live in Dennis also! but i go to school at Bridgewater State College- plymouth wouldn't be a bad drive from there. I have been Google-ing like crazy trying to find out which company might do the Stop and Shops or Shaws grocery stores around here, but I am having no luck with it.
