I'll pay $10k to the first person who shows up at my house today and gets it all packed up and ready to move next weekend. I'll even buy all the pizza and adult beverage you require!

UGH I HATE MOVING!!! But I LOVE having a new clean place!

How early do you want me to be there?

And you KNOW I could make it there!! I'm actually about to leave for Williamsburg right now... I could stop on my way! :lmao:

$10K though? Seriously?

PM me your address... I could use the money, I'm going to the outlets :rotfl2:

You'll take a check won't you? ;)
Dang! Bring me a candy apple from Rocky Mt Chocolate Factory! White chocolate with caramel and pecans and just a dusting of brown sugar please. I'll be waiting

Hire a cleaning lady, the women that clean around here also pack and they don't charge extra. They are great at packing, and they will clean up afterwards too.

I feel for you, cause I hate moving too. How's Petey handling the move? My dogs sometimes would get antsy right before we moved. Heck they get antsy when I pull out my suitcase to go anywhere. :rotfl2:

He's acting really depressed. Hoarding his toys and hiding them, like he's afraid I'm going to pack them too. Moving day is a week from today and he's going to the groomer at 7am. Then I'll pick him up after all our things are at the new house and bring him home to his new home. That way he gets a hair cut and he's not under foot either!

For the first time in his life he'll be able to go out in the backyard without being on leash. It's a small backyard but it's totally fenced. I have a feeling once he figures that out he'll get over his anxiety :teeth:

I despise moving too. I just packed 3 boxes of books this morning and took a break. My DF looked at me like I was nuts and started shaking his head. I really wish he would give in and hire someone to do this. I've got to move out of my downtown apt and he has to move out of his house. Packing up and moving 2 places is not my idea of fun :sad2:

Awww. :cloud9: He will be on cloud nine! Shampoo, cream rinse, haircut and his very own yard! Jeepers he won't know what hit him. :teeth:

Are you getting him some new duds to go with that new yard? Ya know, a little raincoat and boots? :thumbsup2 Sorry, he looks so adorable in his sweater but I am selfishly looking forward to some more pictures with some new outfits. :thumbsup2

No Way! We are getting ready to head out to Prime Outlets, the Pottery and the Yankee Outlet! Shug.. we'll be by later to pack you up. Lauri will give you the employee discount and only charge you 7K :teeth:

I've moved way too often over the years so I feel your pain. It's a big hassle no matter how you do it.

I do suggest packing your kitchen first though. (Also, keep a box of essentials open for use during the week.) At least for me, it's all downhill once I get that stupid kitchen packed!

We recently moved, and did it all ourselves (well with the help of some friends who we're going to buy a lobster dinner for). Next time we are *so* hiring movers. Even with the movers though the most difficult part is packing and unpacking. I mean it's so difficult to figure out what you'll need those last few weeks versus what can be packed now. You just need to pick a room and start, I guess. Home Depot and Costco have great boxes.

One nice thing about moving is you can really get rid of useless clutter. We took TONS of stuff to goodwill.

I'll probably be in your boat come September except I'm sure I won't be as calm! I'm still in the denial stage. Hope everything works out well and enjoy your new home. :)

$10,000.00 What's the address? :rotfl: That would make for a really nice Disney vacation don't ya think?

I 'd be there, I moved two weeks before Christmas ,on a two weeks notice , It was dh, myself and my four kids and tons of stuff ,Plus after i moved a hosted a family christmas party, two days after moving into our new house. Fun Fun Fun!!!!

Give me your address sweet pants!!! Anything to get out of the dinner I am going to ;)

 I love moving. I love to pack it all up & move to someplace completely different. I'm already getting itchy feet again but I promised DH we'd stay put for a few years at least. I realize this post proves that I am completely abnormal. :rotfl:

Good luck in your move!

Oooh I LOVE the Pottery place!!! Bruce hates it though. He hates all that cheap, cheesy stuff but I can't imagine a more fun way to spend a day in Williamsburg than at the Pottery factory. (BTW, merchandisers don't get employee discounts :guilty: )

We started packing the kitchen last weekend and this weekend are hoping to accomplish the majority this weekend. When Dh pulls up a week from today with the rental truck I want to just throw stuff in it and be gone. Problem is, it's amazing how much crap you think you need to survive a week in your own home
