Walt's Warriors (Team 7) Miles and Hours

Hey all Warriors!!

I did 3 miles, 46min 23sec.

Not in much of a mood to walk tonight but thought of my inner warrior spirit and kicked my butt out there and did it.
 
Kate: Been meaning to tell you that your pictures aren't showing up. I am signed up for the WDW half in Jan, I did that in Feb. Not sure about the Princess half though.
Kate, ouch on that arm.

Tracy, at first Kate's pic did not show for me. I right clicked on the pic found properties and copied the URL addfress then opened another browser window. I was able to paste the URL and see the pic that way.

Becky, I'm sorry that you are not feeling well. It sounds like it can't be a good thing there. Is the doc saying what will be done with that?

Today was XT for me and major house work going on then. It was rainy on and off all day too.

Quick Question! are there any official threads started for the January 1/2 marathon/marathon like there was for the minnie? Or is it too early??
 

Amy - The official threads fro teh marathon and half marathon are typically teh weekly team thread, as most of teh people ther are doing one or the other.

Becky - :scared1: OMG, that's awful! :wizard: :wizard: :wizard: Hope things are better soon!

Isn't it sad, so many of us whine about not wanting to get out there and having bad workouts or runs. however, as soon as we can't do it, we are miserable. (Not to imply that about Becky. I am the queen of that)

So, yoga was canceled fro rain yesterday. I went home and looked fro trucks. How coem the things that should be fun, just aren't? WHen we were kids, we longed for teh days when we could buy a new car and a new house. What were we thinking? :headache:

Becky- i'm so sorry you're so not well- sounds scary, take good care of yourself.

I've been for a fab run this morning, 5.5 miles 50mins with just 3 30sec walk breaks. At two points i was running alongside a lovely wild rabbit. It was bounding along as i was thinking 'shouldn't i be running faster than you?'. We drew 1-1 in the end, it won the first leg, i got the second. I like it when things end nicely.

Tracy- great job with the warrier spirit kicking you out there! :rotfl:
 
It's been mostly raining where I am today. Will go out for a bit since it has finally stopped. Off I go, la la la la la!
 
Hi Everyone! 1.65 miles today , 30 minutes.

We took a pretty casual stroll with DD. It rained for about 15 minutes during dinner, which made our walk VERY steamy and humid. Pretty much a sauna. Yuck. I was reminded why I had been doing my walks and runs on the TM.

Off this weekend to Kansas City for Hospital Hill run half marathon. I will not be posting for a few days. Hope everyone has a great weekend. Anyone doing any races be safe and Good Luck.:)
 
Good Morning, Team!

I am happy to report 8 miles today! That is a first for me!

With a core work-out, time total = 1:50

I live by the 10-minute rule! (Or sometimes I will use songs on my iPod....just make it to a certain song, etc.) And like others have said, it works almost every time. I think there have been 2 times in 5 months where I actually turned around.
 
Good morning!

Did a 3 mile run with some hill sprints in 38 minutes last night. Not bad for me...

Will be out of town until Monday without internet access, so I'll post my numbers then. Only 9 days until my first triathlon! I getting so excited!

Any up north warriors - please send some cooler weather down south we are already burning up and summer has not even officially started. (Heat index today is 105).

So true! For me too! I've not done much due to some pain in my knees. I've wanted so badly to get back started on the C25K. I went to the ortho today. I have a weird knee. Some misalignment, arthritis and other issues, but he said I was still ok to run. So...Next week, I will have miles and hours to post!!! YAY!!!!! I'm going to get back on track and start the C25K back next week!

Carrie- As I was reading your post about your 10 mile run, I was thinking to myself, "what are they training for?" I am so impressed it's a "keep in half shape" plan- I have to schedule something or I can't make myself do really long runs!

Becky- OW! That sounds miserable!

Stacie- glad your knees are better!

3DisneyKids- yay for 8 miles!!!

Roxy- we expect a full report! I know you'll do great- you've certainly put in the miles!

Ken- /Amykab- the heat is killing me! On the bright side, we'll barely notice if it's hot at Disney in January. Sauna? Exactly. I grew up in West Texas where it was hot, but dry. This swampy heat is a whole different game.

Tigerlily- brave girl, walking after the rain! Were you in a sauna too?

Smileyk8- Good luck with the arm! I can't see the pictures, but something tells me I don't want to...;)

As for me, I went to the doctor and said I had a weird sinking spell. They think it was a combination of low blood pressure and low blood sugar. I asked the PA if I could keep exercising and she said to "do what I did before I got pregnant." Hello- that would mean I could do a 20 mile run today?! I think not! This was the best part-- she told me to eat more. (All right, then she added "protein" which kind of killed the fun-- I was thinking ice cream and fries, not chicken...) Anyway, that was a first!;)

I'm going to try to get some miles in again now that I have the all clear!

Did my 3 miles tonight after work and it did go a bit better than TUesday.

3miles 44min 20sec.

Also on Wed. evening I did 10 min of pilates core work.

Stacie i think that was great news from the ortho. Sorry your knees are misbehaving but bet you're thrilled to be able to get back to it.

Went for 3.7mile run this morning. It took 30mins and a quick stop by the house for a plaster as i tripped on a rock, then jogged on! I guess my technique of 'creeping' over the ground doesn't work on uneven ground :rotfl2:

Ugh that is too much for me. Sorry though, all I can send down from the North Coast at the moment is 90+ weather. It was so hot today and I get home then bam, no electricity. Ugh. Lucky though it came back on after 3 hours. House is being cooled now and we didn't lose the ice cream! We were all getting ready to man the ice cream since I bought several on sale not too long ago. Now I don't really need to sacrifice myself. Whew! :teeth:

I want to say how very impressed I am with so many who are consistantly putting in the steps. Great job!

Take it easy oh pregnant one though. Jen, I'm glad it is ok for you to continue moving. That is fantastic.
