Walt's Warriors (Team 7) Miles and Hours

I was a TRUE Warrior today!

So I set out for my run (another 7-miler was the plan) and at just about the half way point, the skies opened up. And I mean OPENED. It was an absolute downpour. It was the type of rain where people pull over on the side of the road because they can't see out the windshield. And there I was 3 miles from home!

Nothing left to do but pick up my pace. Which I did. I BOOKED it (well, by my standards... ). 6 miles in 61 minutes in the pouring rain with feet that weighed about 10 pounds each. (Considering my first 3 miles were at about a 10:45 pace, my second three had to be at about 9:15 which is FAST for this turtle!)

Totals with stretching etc. =

6 miles
70 minutes

Great Job 3disneykids!!!

I do hate beingout in the rain, but like you said, "what's are you gonna do." It's rainy season in South Florida now so I'm expecting it at some point and being that I don't own a TM, it's gonna happen.

Happy Saturday Warriors!!!!

I was able to cram in a 3.5 mile walk in 1 hour yesterday night at work.

Did not get anything done today :( :( . We had a bomb scare call that required us HazMat guys in attendance, & the scene was 1/2 way across the county. All in all, not nearly as exciting as it sounds, but I got off a few hours late as a result.

Tomorrow I am flying out to Nevada for a week long class about things that make you glow in the dark. I have no idea how much, if any miles I will get in.

I'll let you know next weekend. Have a good week!

Don't miss me too much!!!

Kate: Glad you and your arm made it through the swimming ok.:rotfl: (R you doing the WDW half or full marathon in jan.?)

I did a long walk today getting my training in for the DL 1/2.

6 miles in 1hour 27min 8sec.

Sunday I did a tempo run.

2.5 miles in 23 minutes.

Heading out for today's ride and work-out shortly, so I will post again later in the day. HAPPY JUNE!

I know its not much, but I had the day off today so I took my 14year old dog out for a walk. She was very surprised, We were out there for about 15min, don't know the distance. She was pooped after that, so back home to sleep (for her.)

Hey All--

Today:

Bike = 13 miles in 40 minutes
Strength and core training = 35 minutes

Totals = 13 miles and 1:15

Wow warriers, I'm very impressed by the effort already this week. Hmm i'm missing jim too.

Tracy- i'm not registered for either half or full in jan. I have signed up for the half in toronto on 28th September, which is def my inspiration that i was needing. I'm still tempted by the half in march ;) Which are you doing?

As i've been whining about my arm so much i thought i'd post a beautiful picture of how it looks right now! No more moaning i promise :bitelip:

Been out for a 3.25 mile run 29mins. Add 5mins for stretching and it was actually quite an enjoyable run. Just one 30sec breathing break half way through.

Kate: Been meaning to tell you that your pictures aren't showing up. I am signed up for the WDW half in Jan, I did that in Feb. Not sure about the Princess half though.

Hi all! Busy weekend and busy last night. WIll try to catch up more today at lunch.

I did 10 miles in 115 min Sunday, as we were busy Saturday. So, skipped last night (and searched for a truck for dh). Doing yoga tonight and going to do Wed adn Thur runs this week.

While the run was less than stellar, I am very proud of us. This is the first time that we have run 10 miles when not officially traning for anything. We don't officially have any more than a 10K on teh books right now. Howver, we are doing 5-8-5-10 on the weekens so we will be ready fro a half at all times. his is teh best we've ever don in teh "off season".

Hi All!

4.4 miles today
total with core work-out = 1:10

Great job on the 10 miler! Woo Hoo! I am going for 8 this week-end and it scares the beejeebers out of me!

Hi!

Got in a 3 mile run Sunday night in 40 minutes and was able to swim last night for about 45 minutes! WOW...I actually worked out 2 days in a row! FINALLY! :)

Erika - You have a good, solid base. You will eb fine!

Michelle - Way to go on finding two days in arow to work out. Making the time is teh hardest part.

OK, I'm caught up to here with my spreadsheet, just need to post adn enter in the group spreadsheet.

Kate - I have you as 13.2 miles adn 4:55 for the week ending 5/23?

Ken - COngrats ont eh job. Hate to say it, but it took clsoe to 6 months fo me to get with the program abgain after changing jobs.

Jim - Miss you!

Barb - Sor sorry about teh pf! SO glad you came back to us, though!

Barb and Tracy - One of teh best tips I've heard is rolling a rfozen water bottle on your feet.

10 minute rule for Kate and anyone else: When I don't feel like running, I tell myself that I can turn around after 10 minutes. Most of teh time, I feel better by teh 10 minute mark. If not, I let meyself go back home. At least you get out there. Plus, just telling yourself you can turn around after 10 minutes, realy helps get you out there. FOr the most part, I only turn around if I'm hurt.

Great job warriors!

I love the 10-minute rule! I'm a big fan! That is what has brought me through many training times.

I wanted to post a warrior sighting I had at the Minnie.

Jim was stationed!

Jim, the other pics I tried to get where you were in action were truly blurry action shots! Anne was yelling, I was trying to get my camera and Jim took off...
:moped:

Hi Everyone! W3D2 of C25K...I ended up with 3 miles, 41 minutes. My best 3 mile time since the Minnie, so I felt good about that.:cool1:

Hope everyone is having a good week so far!

Amy

Hey team. I just wanted to update you all on me. I went to MA to visit family and got a head cold while there. The pressure from my head settled in my ears and I am temporarily deaf in my right ear. I went to the dr today and they told me I have a blood clot. I am very dizzy and cannot do any training. It has not been fun.

I hope you all are feeling well and getting the miles/hours in. I will hopefully be healed up soon and back to running. I miss it.

Becky
