Walt's Warriors (Team 7) Miles and Hours

Hi Warriors, I'm back and ready to get some miles in. My totals for last week were 9 miles and 139.47 minutes.

Saturday I did the CMM, 13.1 miles in 3:54:03. I'm not sure what gets doubled.

I stayed with a friend and was a little slower than I had trained for but we had a blast. If any of you ever get a chance to do this race don't hesitate.

Thank you all for the good wishes, it sure helped. I met a WISHer (PiratesRock) Kim during the race whch was awesome.

Good luck and have a great race to all going to Minnie. I wish I was joining you!!!!!

Did my own little version of a triathlon tonight. .4 mile swim, 8 mile bike, 3 mile run - 2 hours and 5 minutes. That sounds horrible when I add up the time, but I did have extended "transitions" so that can be my excuse. I only work part time and tomorrow is a work day...I wonder if I'll be able to get up in the morning!

Greetings Team I'm back and wanting to get back to my training too. In fact, I have training to report! I did 4 miles on Monday on the TM. Yesterday I did 4.5 miles outside in 40:53 min/9:04 mpm pace it was a gorgeous day, crisp, cool and sunny. I'm trying to get back on track with my training.

Yay Dave! We missed you! How are the injuries holding up?

Welcoem back Barb and COngratulations!!!!

Michelle - SOund slike an amazing work out to me. That's the other part of Tri's that scares me. I am always so tired after I swim. I'm supposed to bik and run after that???

I did my 30 last night. Not happy with how I felt, but not bad enough to quit early. Now, 3 days of rest (sort of) before the big day!

Hi all. Just wanted to pop in and say "WAY TO GO TEAM". You're all doing awesome...

I'm headed down to Disney today, so wanted to WISH everyone a great weekend, happy training, great race, safe travels, and so on! :cheer2:

Much better, thanks for asking Carrie. My hip has been feeling OK. We'll see how it does on a long run on Saturday. Good luck with the Minnie this weekend. Have fun!

Ran 6.0 in 56:30 today. Sub 9:30 pace. I was surprised. It felt slower. The heat & humidity is starting to show up. Ahhhhhh, running in Florida.

BTW, Welcome back Dave. Good to see ya'

For all you "Minniers", I'll see you on Sunday. I'll be the guy on the bike.

Hope I don't need you Jim! Thansk so much for being there!!!!!!

FYI - FOr those who report weekly totals, today starts a new month. That's how I'm supposed to enter in teh spradsheet, so the rest of this week, I will jsut put with next week.

Tracy - Yes, that car wash time counts. Outdoor chores do!

Add in for me today a 15 minute "crossfit" workout, which included 3 - 1/4 mile sprints.

I thought I was in shape until I did this. 15 minutes & I am a blob of jello.....

Hello, (yeah I got time for washing and waxing the car!!)
Last little walk before the MInnie 15K.
3.10 miles , 43min 6sec.

Get back to everyone after the Minnie!!

Have a great weekend everyone.

HUGE day overall!

I did 5.5 miles...but then I did an amazing amount of strength training with my trainer! OUCH!

So my totals today are 5.5 miles and 2 hours 5 minutes. 2"05

Hey Everyone: I just received a call from the Provost at SUNY/Geneseo, and she "informally" offered me the position. She said she was going to put an offer letter in the mail, but wanted to let me know that she was going to offer me the job. Thanks for all your support... it looks like we won't be homeless and hungry afterall...

Happy Friday Warriors!!

Nice warm sunny day in beautiful St Augustine.

Today I did a 20 minute beach drown, er.....uh, swim. Sort of. EXTREMELY frustrating experience. I guess I've just got to get used to getting tossed around like a toy in a bath tub.

Ugh.

Then I did a 19.4 mile bike ride in 1:10 & 4.2 mile run in 40 minutes. Really pretty ride down A1A to Marineland and back.

Overall daily total was 23.6 miles in 2:10 total.

I do not include a swim distance 'cuz I don't think I actually GO anywhere unless the tidal current takes me.

Morning Team: Did 40 min of x-training yesterday on the exercise bike - it said I did 14 miles.

OK so i'm burning a bit of time before coming to meet some of you! On weds i did a 5mile run 43mins, didn't get chance to post.

It's lovely to see you back dave and very happy to hear your hip's better and a new job is flying your way.

Jim- that's so cool that you'll be the medic on the bike, but like carrie i don't really want to need you! Lets hope my thigh holds out- it's not behaving today.

I'm so impressed to see improvised triaths going on too, good effort.

Take care everyone and will try to post when we've RUN THE MINNIE! Giant good luck cuddles to everyone for their training over the weekend and also all warriers ready to chase the minnie :cloud9:

Good for you! This is my plan for the summer as well...make up some of my own little tris.

Welcome back, Dave! And CONGRATS on the job! WOO HOO! How exciting! I got a call from my provost as well...TENURE was approved! You are already posting some big numbers!

KATE--Glad you are having a great time. HAVE FUN at the Minnie! And GOOD LUCK to all of our WISHERs in the world this week-end!

Yesterday was a tempo run for me, so 30 minutes total (with warm up and cool down) and 2.8 miles.

Today is a rest day because.....

Tomorrow is my first ever race! It is only a 5k, but I am so nervous you'd think I was doing the olympic trials! It is silly...now on my SHORT run days I do like 3.5 - 4 miles, so 3 miles is really easy for me, but still....I am still just so nervous about it. It is chip timed and everything...and I am still a turtle. I am just out of my comfort zone.

I will say, though, that being a WISHer is really helping. That whole line about "the courage to start" is a very important to me right now. I will be at the starting line tomorrow...everything else is secondary. WISH me luck! :goodvibes
