Resort Thread Walt Disney World SWAN, DOLPHIN & SWAN RESERVE Resorts

I totally missed the boat on this. I was thinking this was the late night hours for the deluxe resorts.

Is this offering like MVMCP's?
Technically it’s an After Hours event like the current boo bash. Unlike boo bash it will have a real parade, Xmas fireworks and last 4 hours so at the end of the day it sounds like it should resemble a party more so than the current Halloween one does. (Price warning. $169-$249 person + tax.)

Does anyone know if both Swan and Dolphin (wondering more about Dolphin) accept Marriott gift cards?

I really hope so, I am planning on using them to pay for my stay this week--we check out Friday. I've paid with Marriott GCs are many other Marriott-branded hotels so I don't why it wouldn't work here. If they DON'T work I'll reply back on this thread.

Kind of. It’s the Christmastime after hours event, since there is not a MVMCP this year. Similar to Boo Bash.
So a super high priced Christmas party.

Thanks for the explanations.

Just plugged our dates in for the Dolphin on the website. $128 for 4 adults with 4 bags. Round Trip.
Is this price for a private transport and/or direct to S/D? Or is this a bus that will make multiple stops? Guess I need to go check out their site.

Do the Swan and Dolphin wave the parking fee if you have a handicapped tag? I know the Disney resorts give you free valet if you have a tag.

What?! I know in Disneyland at Grand CA used to do that but stopped a few years ago. I had no idea WDW was still doing that. I have a family member I’ll have to tell! (They don’t drive much at WDW but usually have a rental for a day or two of their trip.)

*I tried to do a search but I was not able to find anything for this specific question, so I am hoping you all may have some advice:

We have two rooms booked for this December at the Swan. My dad made the reservations, but because he booked through Marriott, did not add all of our names to the rooms. He then linked to his MDE, where the reservations for both rooms show. The issue is the rest of us need to be listed on the reservation so that we can book things eventually, but are getting the run around on how to fix the issue.

Disney chat said the Swan needed to make the adjustment by resubmitting the reservation with all our names tagged, while the Swan claimed to have no idea what that meant. Any one experienced this before? We are going to try and call the Swan back tomorrow with a different staff member, but we are getting pretty frustrated. Especially because I think the simplest solution would be to remove the reservation from my dads MDE and re-add it now that we are all listed on the room reservations, but there appears to be no mechanism for us to do that on our end.

To add, we want to purchase tickets to the X-mas AH event, especially with the early access with the Deluxe stay--do we think my dad can buy all 6 tickets even though it shows him being the only staying on-site at the moment?

Any advice would be so helpful and appreciated!! You are all so wonderful, so I thank you in advance for any help :)

He should be able to buy all the tickets without issue.

So I ran into a similar issue when my wife booked the Dolphin through Marriott. She just skipped over the number of people and booked a room. The Dolphin/Marriott was the entity that solved the problem and now I can't remember exactly how. However, at no point did Marriott ask for the names, they just needed the correct number of people. My family has been connected under friends and family on MDE since we first start using it years ago. After the number of people for the room was corrected, I added the reservation number on the Disney site using a computer. It took a week or two for the reservation to appear on MDE (I think Disney acknowledges this when linking a S/D reservation) but it did for all of us.

Did your dad indicate the correct number of people for each of the reservations? Are you all connected as Friends and Family already in MDE?

I had a problem recently when a free night reservation through Marriott at the Swan Reserve only listed 1 guest. Disney CS was no help, but then I called the number on the reservation confirmation that went to Swan/Dolphin service and they fixed it easily to change # of guests (did not ask for names). It took 24-48 hrs for the change to show up on MDE, then I could add the actual guest names for MDE. Not sure if that is the same issue you are having though.

Do they check to make sure that the people using the park buses are guests of the Swan or Dolphin or can anyone get on the buses?
