Walt Disney World Launches NEW Website

I don't understand how it's fully live if parts of it aren't actually working...

Live as in, "Everybody gets the new site now."

Whether it works or not is another problem. Given that the old site didn't always work either, I'm not seeing a difference :)

Good luck figuring out ride closures..

Well, right now, you can go to the attractions page, and then give a specific date. It will show you the hours for that particular attraction, or say it is "closed for refurbishment". For example, I entered January 24th, Magic Kingdom Park. Hours are listed for most attractions, but Hall of Presidents and Splash Mountain are specifically closed.

I don't see a way right now to know the specific closure dates of an attraction.

Well I suppose that's true but not everything is 'live' if I can't get to it because I can't link my reservations. It was the same before it was 'live' so really it isn't. At least with the old site I could see my reservations and make payments.

New website is absolutely horrible. I won't even go into detail, just a mess.

Trying to navigate the new site now. We leave Jan 23 with an arrival late on Jan 24. None of my ADRs show and when I try to go anywhere all it gives me is a blank page. Ugh.:confused3

That is just like the stares you'll get when you go to check in at your hotel or restaurant. :rotfl:

I keep getting blank pages too. I was wondering if it was my browser? I'm using Chrome on a Mac.

I also can't find a passholder page. Do they still offer AP discounts on tickets, announcements, resorts, etc.? If so, where do I find the link on the new website? :confused3

ETA: I haven't read back through all of this thread yet...

I posted this on the other thread but since this is the main thread for the new website I thought this would help:

After they gave me the correct reservation confirmation I was able to link it to my account and everything now works fine. :cheer2:

Except making a payment, they still havent figured out how to make that work.

Mom, I'm a Mac user as well on multiple browsers; while Disney migrates all of their systems over to the new My Disney Experience, there are some growing pains. It is not you, it is not the browser, it's simply two steps forward, one steps back, on moving over to the new systems. You can now bring forward your resort reservation, however, dining is still hit and miss and you may need to keep pulling those forward. Everything still exists where it's important to exist - within the individual reservation systems.

If you go to http://mydisneyexperience.com, then use the Annual Passholder link in the pulldown menu in the upper right corner, you may reach this page:

http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/passholder-program/passholder/

You will need to log in to access passholder amenities.

I hope that helps - we're really only a few weeks into an amazing new transition for Disney. Think of how far it's come from just a few years ago, when we all had to Dial for Cindy based on UTC, your local phone trunks, and the moon phases affecting how many others you had to play Complete the Call with?
