Walt Disney World Launches NEW Website

It was probably pulled because it shouldn't have gone live yet, with all the glitches and problems people were having.

Well, it certainly went line intentionally, since you had to opt-in to use it. They probably didn't know about the problems until they got the user reports back.

It was a beta test, nothing more, and it's going back to development for fixes.

I did not like the new website at all. I looked at my profile and it had my wife and I's Ap's saved in our profile. Whenever we went to look for the AP discounted hotels or benefits, it asked us to register our passes. It would not let us view anything for pass holders. Pretty annoying since we are wanting to book a room. Hopefully the bugs are getting worked out.

I still see the new website, so either they limited it to FL Residents (they can do that) or it's still live.

I can see it too, on my work laptop at least. Our server is out of CT

Just looked a couple of minutes ago at Photpass options. One page I looked at was the new site, the second one was the old. If it is/was a beta, like one poster suggested, what a beta! :scratchin

I'm still getting the old site, and no option for the new any more...but the top header is broken at the moment (the one to navigate to other disney sites...) in firefox, but not Chrome...

I am seeing the new website but can't navigate the dining reservation part of the site. The page just keeps freezing every time I try to search for a reservation time. So frustrating!

I'm getting the same thing here. When I try to register the pass, it says it's already in the profile, but then stays on the page to add a pass.

On the system I originally tried the new web page ,I do still get the new web page. But it looks like they removed the link to try it out now.

Perhaps they have enough guinea pigs :)

I have one e-mail address that is linked as a FL resident and others that are not. When I log in with the FL e-mail one, I get the new web site and the old website with the others. However, I was glad to read all about the FP+ stuff on the new website, so I could see how much I'm probably going to hate it. :rotfl2:

I switched to the new website on Tuesday and was extremely disappointed -- my April '13 BLT reservation as well as my dining reservations disappeared! Thankfully I only made the switch on my desktop; when I logged in via laptop it was the old site and all of my reservations were there!

A few days ago I made the mistake of signing into the new web-site. It was the only option I had when I tried to log on to take a look at my count down. Like everyone else has experienced, none of my reservations were showing. I entered them all manually; not an easy task since I had surgery on my left hand last week and I am typing with just one hand. It found each reservation, but then promptly lost them again. After doing it all again with the same results I am giving up until after Christmas. I've got printed copies of all our reservations from the old web-site that I will guard like gold.

I didn't see my reservations (resort or dining) in the new system. I entered all the information to pull them up (resort reservation, arrival date, last name and resort staying at) and the system came back and told me that it couldn't find my reservations. I have tried this multiple times throughout the day and kept getting messages that my reservation number didn't exist. Problem is that when I tried to access the website early this morning (around 2:30am) :surfweb: , only the new site was available so it automatically switched my view over to the new site. I have since cleared my history and cookies and will remain on the old site as long as I can. I would have hoped the new site would have been tested more thoroughly before even being released.

Beyond FRUSTRATED!!!! It automatically just switched me over. I need to cancel an ADR and make a payment. Way to go on this one WDW. GRRRRRR
:crazy2::badpc:

What are we supposed to do if it just wont recognize us? Can you still get old site?
I dont know how to clear my history/cache or whatever ugh

It wouldn't recognize me - so I emailed help/support from the website, and they reset my password. That worked (for a while).

Well all I get is the headings but where the texts/pixtures used to be it says "Page Not Found- 404 Error The page you requested could not be found." The other pages (dining, parks) work fine... just the main page.

Only in Firefox though... if I use Explorer I still get the old page.

I posted this on the other thread but since this is the main thread for the new website I thought this would help:

I called the number the app gives you for related My Disney Experience problems and a nice CM named Tim explained something I did not know: If you have a package with a small reservation confirmation number (mine was a 7 alphanumeric sequence) and try to link that reservation the website will not recognize it as a valid reservation.

You need the big number (which is a 12 numeric sequence) to link the package reservation to the website. I looked all over my reservations and that number IS NOT on any of my emails. SO, if you can't find that number you need to call (407) 939-3471 and ask for that.

After they gave me the correct reservation confirmation I was able to link it to my account and everything now works fine. :cheer2:

Ok, so I go to the WDW site a lot, and currently we have 2 resorts booked and several Dining ressies.

A few days ago I ended up at the new site.... All my info was gone, but I kind'a liked the new look, so I took a couple of hours, re-constructed all our reservations then I started to play around with the site. I got many new things added and found that I like it. Once they work out the glitches, hiccups, bugs and freezing, I think it will be cool.

I had a couple of questions including where to enter special "Celebrations", especially for dining ressies, so I called them, learned only a few people had the new site, and that all they (the Customer Service Reps) had to look at was paper "screen shots". That was interesting.

Well after all that, organizing my entire trip and having the new site for a couple days, it reverted back to the old one on me. That kind of irks me. :furious:
Has this happened to anyone else??

Yes, I switched over to the new site (last week) and entered all my ressies. Tonight I click my bookmark for WDW and I'm looking at the old site. I wasn't able to log in though???

*Was finally able to log on (to the original website). I wonder why it reverted to the original?
