Walt Disney World Launches NEW Website

I'm putting in all my dining reservations....Its not recognizing my BOG ressie (not accepting my phone number linked) should I be worried? :sad2:

I think I'm just going to stop messing with it. At this point all I am accomplishing is raising my blood pressure. I had no issues adding my resort. It was when I started trying to add my dining to it that I had problems. It will let me get to step 3 and then it says there was an "error".

I am now realizing that the BOG ADR was the ONLY one I made over the phone. Now I'm paranoid that it isn't real and when I show up with the 11 other people in my party, we're going to get turned away because of this bogus confirmation number. (My grandmother would be the most upset in this scenario, she was so proud of me when I got the reservation!) Hmm. Its showing up on the old site (checked it on IE) but wont let me do it with the new one.

I left feedback for disney, so hopefully they get it figured out? :confused3

Just went to check it out and switched over to the new site before I read everyone's comments. Bad idea. When I clicked "change character", I got this error...

...and now that's what I see when I try to open any WDW webpage in Chrome (my primary browser). :badpc: So I opened the old site in Safari and got to my reservations page, then opened the new site in Firefox and put in all my ressies/played around with the new system.

I think the new site design looks great, and while most of the features of MDE are a bit superfluous for my uses, it's still fun to play with, adding family members and whatnot. However, it is very frustrating that they couldn't just import everyone's existing ressies...adding mine took about 15 mins, but I only have a handful. Can't imagine what a pain it would be to manually do that for a week's vacation on the deluxe dining plan. And the site just seems to be too robust to handle at the moment.

Then again, what else is new? This feels like New Fantasyland passholder preview registration all over again. For a company of its size, Disney ought to be able to 1) design a site that works as well as it looks, and 2) make transitions smooth by doing things like automatically transferring ressies.

I have two resort reservations that are showing up, but no matter how many times I put my dining reservations in, though they are acknowledged, they will not "stick"...once I click DONE it tells me I have no dining reservations. Sigh....The new sight looks awfully plain and boring. I wish I wouldn't have switched!

I booked through a TA and now I can't get my reservation to pull up in the new site. I was able to in the old site. :sad2:

For those that are having issues seeing your reservations, make sure the name of the family member the reservations are under is selected in the right hand corner. I am using my account, but the reservations are under my DH name. Once I selected his name, all of the reservations showed up after I manually entered them.

All of my info was correct. No room ressie.

All,

If you have selected to use the new site and it is not working for you, all you have to do to go back to using the old site is clear your history and cookies.

I was having the same issue as everyone else. However, once I cleared my cache I could launch the old site and BAM! there were all of my reservations.

So have no fear my fellow Disney lovers...your reservations are safe. I just dont understand how they couldnt link the new site up to the resort and dining reservations databases. ITs not that hard. Once again I believe they had a hard target date and werent ready to fully deploy, but couldnt miss the target.

Hey Disney...all those resumes I keep submitting for various IT positions...maybe you should give them a look. I might be able to help you solve your ongoing problems. :rotfl2:

I figured that's all I had to do. Im going to explore it a bit and then reset. they couldn't even remember that im a passholder, and I am NOT digging out my voucher to figure out how to put it in again! I so badly wanted to see how the AP site worked with this new set up but it just isn't worth it.

I got the new website(it doesn't look that different) on my iPad. It has the correct number of days until my trip and the correct hotel, name, etc. Tomorrow I can make my ADRs so I am practicing now. I can also access it on my husband's PC, but not on my MacBook. Nothing happens, no revolving beachball, no message - nothing.
Any suggestions?

Down to 181 days.

There might all ready be a thread about this, but I think it was asking a specific question.

For those who do not know, WDW launched a new disneyworld.com today with the new My Disney Experience feature online. The site seems like it's part of NextGen and FP+ could fit in nicely. More integration between the MDE app and the site seems to also be prime with this new site.

Hopefully, it's better than the old one. Thoughts?

P.S. Disney decided to test FP viewing location for IllumiNations today.
~I just saw the new website, I love the new look!!! Thanks for sharing! :goodvibes

Did anyone read through the entire Terms and Conditions when it had you update your information? There is an entire section on FastPass+. Looks like it will be coming, and fairly soon....

Just some notes...

World Showcase pavilions as "attractions" aren't listed. So there's almost no reference to the UK pavilion even existing.

The information for Mexico's gallery is all wrong.

They did at least give much better descriptions of the things that they have right. Shops, dining, etc.. are missing at random.

Anybody else see that "AED/Automated External Defibrillators" are now listed as an activity at Magic Kingdom?

I have a room only ressie that came up on the first try and a package that the new site doesn't recognize. Are the rest of you trying to pull up packages or room only?

The new site is not letting me log in at all. It's not recognizing my username/password and when I click on the "forgot my password" link it's not even recognizing that I have an account attached to my e-mail address.:scared1:

I opened Explorer up and went back to the old page (I was using Firefox originally). I was able to log in there fine and my dining reservations are still listed.

I'm trying to access my package. I just gave up, and will use the old site. Lol

How are you accessing the new site? It just gives me the old site. I don't see any link to the new one??
