Anyone been to Disney in November? How's the weather and crowds etc? Anything that you would recommend? I've been there in August- Sept once never do that again (Way to HOT!!!)! And April 2 x's that's our month of choice but we heard it was really nice in November so this year we are going November 4th thru the 12th! If anyone can tell me anything about November in Disney that would be great # Adults and 2 kids! DD=10, DS=6 .

Thanks
Colleen

We went in Nov. and loved it. The weather was nice during the day, and maybe a light jacket at night if at all. Very nice. I know what you mean, we could not do July or August, our family would not be happy in lines during that heat!

We were there this past November (11/03 - 11/10) The crowds were very bearable but we were also there for "Jersey weeK" so it was a little more crowded than we anticipated. The lines were never more than 30-45 but we fast passed alot!! The wheather was very nice. Shorts most days with a light jacket for the evenings. One day it was a litlle chilly due to rain and the jackets were handy once again. I hope you have a great time. :wave2:

I was wondering the same thing. We will be there Nov. 12th - 19th, which is the week before Thanksgiving. How are the crowds then? And how is the temperature?

While we were there it was mostly in the 70's during the day. It was warm enough to even enjoy one of the water parks during one day. The evenings were mild. Where we stayed had heated pools and a hot tub which was a welcome ending on such busy walking days! We are starting to plan our next trip for the later part on 2006 and we are leaning towards November again ( if that is indicative of how much we enjoyed going that part of the year). It is nice to not have to sweat while you do the little line waiting. I hope this helps! :wave2:

be there the same week as you 11/12-11/19/05 at POP, considering AKL if any discounted rates come out. I am hoping for nice warm weather.

We'll be there the 17-22 for the first time in November. I am excited! Hopefully the crowds won't be too bad. I think you should all be find with crowds as long as you follow the historical dates charts(ex. Saturdays are busy for MK while they aren't for Epcot for example) and keep in mind that the beginning of the week is moderate crowd level, but steadily increases the closer you get to Thanksgiving.

November is my FAVORITE by far! We were even there for the so called "Jersey Week" and it was Super Soap Weekend - it was great! No lines more than 10 mins., light jacket in the AM and PM but we wore shorts in the afternoons and even did Blizzard Beach (cold coming out of the water though, DS then 2.5 was a bit chilly).

Crowds were non-existant (compared to my visit before that which was August - YUCK!). Eating was very easy without many PSs and Downtown Disney was a breeze even at night. The only crowds we saw was at Epcot WS at night because all other parks closed by 6pm. But we started early and were definately finished with the parks by then. We would head to Downtown after 6.

We are going late NOV this year. Does that say anything?

We visited oct. 30th through nov. 9th of 2002. Jersey week definitely plays a role in crowding on buses and parks. We used tips from these boards like: go to the park that had early entry the day before and go early. (OR always avoid the park that has early entry that day!) We arrived at the parks at opening and had usually rode everything by noonish! we did make use of FP quite a bit. Needless to say, smart use of FP can make a world of difference regardless of when you go.

so around 1 or 2, we would head back to the room for lunch/pool/relaxation or to animal gaze (we were staying @ AKL). Overall, weather was nice. We were able to do Typhoon Lagoon one day but crowds there quickly became unbearable, we left by 11 AM: I think part of the reason for that was that Blizzard Beach was closed for refurbishment at the time.

To sum up, it was a dream come true because I had so many childhood memories of WDW waiting there for me to relive. I can't wait to get back to POTC and Peter Pan. pirate:

We were there almost the exact time frame (11/3-11/6). We found the MK on Thurs, Nov 4 to be unbearable. That, for us, was the worst day. We left on Sat morning for our Magic cruise. Splash, Space and Big Thunder Mtn's had 90 min waits. Peter Pan was 90 min.....and Pooh was 60 min. We ended up hopping over to Epcot and found it to be a little better. Still Test Track had 90 min waits. We did have to utilize the Fast Pass system to the fullest in order to avoid long lines. This was our 4th time going during this general time period and this was the most crowds we ever saw. I agree the weather was terrific and we didn't even use light jackets at night. But there have been some very cold early Nov's we've experienced. I think it was Oct 30--Nov 7 in 1999 where we froze a couple mornings and evenings. One day we woke up it was only 42 degrees and it never got warmer than 65 that day. Swimming was a little tough some days.

Apparently "Jersey Week" is when Disney goers who happen to live in New Jersey all try to go the same week. That shows some kind of unity!! I mean I am from Pennsylvania and I have never heard of "Pennsylvanian week".

What is "Jersey Week"?
It's a week usually in early/mid Nov when the NJ schools close. I believe there is some sort of conference available in the Atlantic City area for the teachers  but many flock to WDW. This past Jersey week was quite a bit more crowded than I recall past ones being (I've been in WDW during Jersey Week in '99, '01 and '02 also).

There is some speculation that the added crowds were due in part because of the 3 hurricanes in FL this past season, & alot of people had to reschedule their vacations, thus adding to the crowds in Nov/Dec this year.

I was there the week after Thanksgiving and there were no crowds and the weather was perfect. One night was a bit chilly but coming from the northeast it was no big deal. I love March/April and November/December as far as weather goes. But November/December is better crowd wise, and the Christmas decorations and MVMCP are an added bonus.
I will be back this November for Super Soap Weekend (a very crowded time of November) :crowded:

We were there during this time frame in Nov 2004 and we walked on almost everything. The weather was mid to high 70's each day]

Digskat.....
Where was I then ? We saw extremely long lines in the MK on Nov 4 & 5, though Nov 3 was much better. We had to skip over to Epcot it was so crowded on the 4th (90 min waits for most of the popular rides)!??? We must have been at different parks on different days for you to say you walked on everything :confused3 Maybe you just Fast Pass'd all the rides ?I'm genuinely happy for you, but feel like I was in another WDW that week :rotfl:
Also, a couple days that week (Nov 2-6) hit low 80's even if you recall. The weather was just perfection !!!!

Thank You! Everyone, for all the information on conditions in November! It's sounds good enough for me! And for those of you who do not know what Jersey week is : It is either the first or second week of november every year the children are off school either the first Thursday and Friday or the second thursday and friday! For the National New Jersey Teachers Convention! So from what I understand alot of people from New jersey schedule there vacations around this time due to the fact their children will only miss three days of school as oppose to 5! I am going for 2 reasons in November we have been there 2 times in April and love it but easter is to early being in March so I wasn't going for that spring break! And We went one time in Late august into early sept the heat was horrible! So since the kids are off Thursday and Friday for the NJEA Teacher's convention and will only miss 3 days of school and I work for the State and we are off on Election day which is the 8th and Veterans day which is the 11th all in the same week ! And I will also only miss 3 days as oppose to 5 and can use my other vacation time to do something else! Originally my intentions for this year were from October 28 thru November 4th for the Not So Scary Halloween I hear it's great trick or treating in Disney! But the use of 3 days as oppose to 5 swayed me to november which I'm sure is also a factor for alot of New Jersey people which is why I guess they call it "Jersey Week" :cloud9:
Just thought those of you who didn't know would like to know that!

I meant I went in Mid Nov (13-22), Maybe this "jersey" had been and gone. The only ride we waited a long time for was Peter Pan, and we were kinda disappointed. The rest of the rides we walked on ( max 10min wait) and we never used the Fast pass system :wizard: :earsboy:
