I was there in Spring 99 and Spring/Summer 2000

1990! (Jan-May)
Empress Lilly (pantry "chef", hostess, bartender for all restaurants onboard, and even the long-gone character breakfast) Worked OT at Pleasure Island, checking ID's, shooting off confetti canons and having fun! Vista Way #? (top floor-great apt!) Are you kidding? Did I like it? It was the best time of my life and I've been hooked on Disney ever since!! I would be there now if it weren't for my dh's job! Now I just spend too much time planning my Disney vacations, and wishing I WAS there! Going back in May for a 10 day trip, and in October for a 7 night doubledip cruise, and several days at the parks!

It's soo addicting, the WDWCP! and i agree with you all it was the BEST time of my life....

i too am stuck somewhere (IL) because of my husbands job, but one good thing is that meeting my husband i turned another person into a mouse lover!! now we have two kids that are on their way to an unhealthy obsession with a mouse!!! headed back to the World in November for Turkey DAy!!

Em--> good luck with the internship! wish i would have done this, my friend did it and he has an AWESOME career with the mouse still!

2001- Merchentainer at the Emporium. I worked until 3am on E-ride nights. I lived at Chatham.

WDWCP was one of the best times of my life, I met so many great people, including my husband!

He worked Hospitality at The Carribean Beach Resort.

Me too.

I was accepted Summer of 1995.
It was to be attractions and I wasn't able to accept b/c of family refusal to help me out--I was on my own and with a (very) meager car payment and an orthodontia bill (minor--but major when most of my pay would be paying for Vista way and little else)...I couldn't do it.

Hindsight is 20/20 and I should have just gone for it .



My cousin did the intern twice--her second round she was a character for Special Events (not telling which one ). I think her first round she was a concierge hostess at GF (the little desk where the guests come and ask you for something).

My brother was assigned to DQ--but they had too many interns that semester and he ended up at DTD late night valet. Pretty nice gig as he had all his days off and only worked until 2am. He hated driving the lot in the golf cart though.

10+ years later I would go back in a heartbeat.

DH was a jungle skipper in 93 and worked in guest relations in 95.

I've lost touch with a lot of my roomates and coworkers but there are some I'd love to reconnect with. I am still in touch with several other program friends.

not a day goes by that i don't think of the good times i had on the WDWCP. My parents to this day think i am insane I too still keep in touch with my roomies and am trying to persuade one to join me on the DIS!

Spring 2004
technically was assigned as merch in Frontierland, but I lucked out and the hideous skirt (remember the ugly green and blue plaid thing?) was too short for me, I looked like a saloon girl, so I was assigned Lower frontierland, meaning SplashDown photos. I loved it. Also worked in Fantasyland merch for a week and picked up shifts in the bookstore in MGM.

Lived in Vista 502and loved 4 of my 5 roommates (the 5th was a wierdo). One of them is getting married to our next door neighbor on the Wonder in 6 weeks, can't wait to go and have a mini reunion!!
