Walt Disney Swan & Dolphin Refurbishment

Hello I'm from the UK and intend on having a vacation staying at the Swan or Dolphin from 12th January 2008 with my wife and seven year old daughter. I understand that room refurbishments are taking place at Swan / Dolphin complex. Does anyone know whether these will be completed by January 12th and does the refurbishment effect both the Swan and Dolphin complex? We have previously stayed at Port Orleans and had a great time. Also are there likely to be conferences taking place at the Swan / Dolphin in January and are the rooms sound proof? Sorry if there are lots of questions here but I know you guys will help me out...hopefully.

Sorry, don't know about the refurbishments. I was there earlier in the year and didn't notice any. Conferences? Sound proof? I can tell you that these hotels are an excellent value. I am a Starwood member and received an upgrade looking out over Epcot. I would much prefer the Swan/ Dolphin over Port Orleans because of the proximity of the parks. It is nice to walk to Epcot or MGM....or you can take the boat. You are a short walk to the Boardwalk. If I can't stay at BCV or BWV....I stay at one of these hotels.
