Walt Disney Suite Or 2 Connecting Verandahs?

Our next cruise is going to be on the Magic and we'll need 2 connecting rooms for my wife and I, my son who will be 6 at the time and my in-laws. Would anyone recommend the Walt or Roy suites over 2 connecting verandah staterooms. I just watched a video and they look amazing. Just wondering what you guys would recommend. We all get along great and had legendary vacations on the Fantasy with the connecting rooms. Think everyone would be blown away by the suites! Thanks for any advice

The Magic does have a two bedroom suite in addition to the Roy and Walt. Still lots of space for your family, but saves a little money over the Roy and Walt.

I would also think a 2 bedroom would be preferable based on layout.

It depends on your family dynamic. My in-laws in the same room as me would not be good, heck, my own parents in the same room as me would not be good. Not because I don't get along with them, but rather it's just nice to have some privacy and your own personal space. For this reason alone I would choose two rooms. Plus, considering sleeping arrangements, your in-laws (or you) would probably be more comfortable in a queen size bed than in the second bedroom of the 2br magic suites, which, from the looks of it, have two very small beds and a pull down bunk. I've never been in the royal suites, do they even have a 2nd bedroom in those or would you/your in-laws be sleeping on the couches/rollaways?

Two midship cat Ts connect. That may cost more than the cat R though.

Non miship cat T, albiet with a poorer layout, connects with a cat 4. But then the perks might not follow all pax.

The cocktails are available during dinner time. Beers are in the self-service fridges all day.

If you can swing it, do the suite. We sailed in the Walt Disney Suite on the Magic last year and it was amazing. The concierge staff was also absolutely superb.

Seriously?? We were on the Dream Concierge and NO ONE told us we could have beer during the day!!- Where were the fridges? They seemed to have some with Milk under the buffet area is it there???

I believe you are thinking of club level at the resorts.

You are correct. The lounge does not offer all you can drink beers throughout the day in the lounge.

"Marc D" may have helped himself. Often that is challenging ironically, even in the lounge. The hosts prefer/frown upon you pilfering their fridges of alcohol outside the designated hours.
Now during the limited alcoholic operations "may" be a different scenario. lol.

There is no perk of any alcoholic beverage throughout the day in the lounge.
Only during specifically posted times.

Of course that doesn't mean you couldn't "purchase" alcoholic beverages outside the designated times if desired.

Agreed "raven." Some fridges have milk, soda, water, and whatnot, accessible during lounge hours of 7am - 10pm. When the lounge is crowded, busy, etc, hosts may be swarmed, occupied, etc. and after they know you, it's not unheard of guests accessing the lower fridges, after a wink to the host, to expedite a lame request/desire for a non alcoholic beverage of almost any type not displayed.

IOW, one would normally get a visually confirmation, as subtle as it may be, prior to accessing their fridges. Unless of course prior permission was granted. Which could have happened easily for the duration of the sailing for most pax at anytime aboard.
This is normal for regular non alcoholic beverages for all pax in the lounge BTW.

But accessing alcohol outside of the preset free flow limited times is definitely outlawed.
BTW these fridges and cabinets containing alcohol are locked normally outside the free flow hours. Good luck gaining access outside the preset flow times.

Now that doesn't mean certain pax may have been granted access, such as those in the cat R's.
IMO those pax in the R's deserve everything they can grab regardless of any lounge hours or locked cabinets.

Perhaps "Marc D" was one of those pax. ? ? ?

we stayed in the walt disney suite - have they changed it since dry dock?
i have to look at the deck plans, but if it's the same as it was before dry dock then i would most certainly recommend the walt/roy suite for your extended family.

we were just the four of us - two teenage kids and DH and me...
the kids were in the second bedroom and we were in the master....
there is tons and tons and tons of room in that suite....much more room than on the dream/fantasy suites..
on the magic/wonder hte walt/roy have two bedrooms and two full bathrooms...(assuming they didn't change it in dry dock)..
what more could you possibly need?
plus a big living room and if memory serves there was also a dining room and a kitchen....
the place was enormous and we loved it..
i didn't want to leave the suite - EVER..

it was superb and i definitely recommend that if you can afford it, by all means go for it...
