Walmart classifies customers into three groups

What Walmart Category are you

  • brand aspirationals -people with low incomes who are obsessed with names like KitchenAid

  • price-sensitive affluents - wealthier shoppers who love deals

  • value-price shoppers - who like low prices and cannot afford much more

  • I shop at Targer

I fall into the I have tons of money and would rather shop at Target category.

I don't see my category here.. Our Walmarts (or at least the ones that I frequent) are fine - nice and clean, decent employees, well-stocked shelves, etc..

I shop there because I want to.. I go wherever I can to get the best price.. Doesn't have anything to do with brand names, what I can afford, or anything else.. I'm just frugal by nature and don't care to waste my money if there's no need to..;)

I voted value concious because I started going to Walmart because of the prices and I stayed because the store was clean, the employees were polite and helpful and I could always find what I wanted.

Walmart is no more evil than any large corporation-including (gasp) Disney.

I can't help being cheap... it's my Scottish heritage!!! :cool2:

I'm not really sold on Target OR Walmart. They're both just big box stores designed to convince you that you need a bunch of stuff -- stuff you didn't really realize you needed until you saw how cheap it was.

I shop at these two stores when I know they have a good sale, or when they happen to carry a particular product that isn't easily found elsewhere.

I'm a loyal Target shopper. I will only shop at Walmart if there is an item I'm looking for that only Walmart sells (very, very rare).

I notice absolutely no difference between the people who work at KMart, Walmart and Target.

And I find the people who shop in stores generally represent the people who live in the area.

I sometimes shop at WalMart or KMart. No difference, but Wal-Mart is bigger and has a better selection.

Our walmart is clean and well run. I shopped there when it was all I could afford and now shop there because i just can't sand to pay more then I have to for things. I also shop Target.
Both of them are terrible for my budget though because I always spend much more then planned.

Well right now i'm in the group who reluctantly drags themselves into there in order to save money for a huge upcoming vacation.

But the good news is - I usually drop my kid off at Preschool at 7:50am and then run over there. I usually don't have time to shower, put on nice clothes, comb my hair, or sometimes even brush my teeth

and I fit in with all the rest of the shoppers and most of the employees just fine!!!!!!

I usually fall into the "I really need something at 4:00 in the morning and Wal Mart is the only place open to get it category"
Don't care for Target either.

Meijer is the favorite here. Things may be a few cents higher, but the sale prices are far superior and things seem fresher.

How about a former employee who KNOWS they're satan's spawn??? :lmao:

I'll raise you that former employee with former employees from Macy's, Target, Kmart, Albertsons and Best Buy who would say the same thing about the retail stores they worked for. There's more than one ex-WDW employee in Florida who has a lot to say about how Disney treats their workers. You read the letters in the Orlando Sentinel from time to time.

Good grief! Where the heck do you live? :scared1:

I don't really fit into any of these categories. :confused3 I do shop at Walmart a lot though... but ours is clean and well kept, everyone there is nice. It's actually the Target I can't stand going into around here, they kinda treat people like crap and the store is pretty small and dirty. Walmart around here has the wide aisles so I don't have to wait until someone else is out of the aisle just to get around them with the cart!

Where did you come up with this information? I don't fall into any of those categories.

I hate shopping at Walmart, but in our small town, there aren't many other choices. Their prices are the best here, but the employees are indifferent at best and the checkout lines are enormous. Most of the time, I do my shopping at another, higher priced store. I call it a convenience tax.
