Walmart classifies customers into three groups

What Walmart Category are you

  • brand aspirationals -people with low incomes who are obsessed with names like KitchenAid

  • value-price shoppers - who like low prices and cannot afford much more

Walmart says their customers fall into one of the categories:

There are “brand aspirationals” (people with low incomes who are obsessed with names like KitchenAid),

“price-sensitive affluents” (wealthier shoppers who love deals),

“value-price shoppers” (who like low prices and cannot afford much more).

Where do you fall?

That should be Target in the poll...........

walmarts evil
i try not shop there and give them my $$

I'm in the fourth group - the ones that love Wal-Mart's prices but rarely go there except in an emergency because of the filthy, nasty appearance of the store.

:rotfl:

Yeah me too. I also feel some pangs of guilt going there too, but it's the yuck factor that really keeps me out.

4th group here, too.

That place is repulsive. I probably would save money if I shopped there, but I come out of Walmart feeling dirty.

I have no guilt pangs about going there at all, but it is so God-awful dirty, I feel like I need a shower when I leave.

That would be me as well

I've never really thought as Wal-Mart as dirty.. maybe ours is kept up a little better.

I don't know what to classify myself as because.. I'm only a kid.

I don't see my category here.. Our Walmarts (or at least the ones that I frequent) are fine - nice and clean, decent employees, well-stocked shelves, etc..

I shop there because I want to.. I go wherever I can to get the best price.. Doesn't have anything to do with brand names, what I can afford, or anything else.. I'm just frugal by nature and don't care to waste my money if there's no need to..;)

I prefer Target. Actually, I prefer DW to buy the the things that are sold at those stores.;)

I'm in Oklahoma, Walmart does all there store planning/testing on us.

just like anywhere else, store location matters cuz thats who is going to shop there. but I find it interesting here because we've had the Walmart grocery only stores for close to 10 yrs now, and they are very decent, even in the areas you don't want to be in after dark.

All the super Walmarts, although still very clean, and the only thing we have, are scary. all of them even the brand new one in Edmond which makes me feel like I'm walking into a village of the damned ( totally upscale in appearance yet very rich redneck attitude).

All the areas around here that have money have the same issues you all have mentioned. the only one I feel safe at is my home town that just got a new SW, feels weird shopping in the field I've done to many things to recount here, but I'm not having to check my wallet every few minutes to make sure it is still there either.

I feel the upper ups making the decisions definatly know thier target audience, these stores make me feel like the little kid that got to close to the stranger with candy, bad candy at that.

Target has a bad rep here, they were almost entirely beat out in the 80's, thats how walmart got in town. target is slowly coming back tho.

Our Walmart is pretty clean, I still avoid it though. Target and Meijer are where I choose to shop.
