Walmart black friday is out

This might be a stupid question, but my daughter wants an IPad mini and the ad had them listed for $299. Is it possible to put that item on layaway at that price? I always get a generous Christmas bonus but it always comes in the middle of December.

I have never done it but way back when Walmart had lay-away the first time, you could put black friday deals on lay-away. My sil did it every year.

I am a black Friday newbie. I am interested in the 50" tv at Wal-Mart that is advertised in the "Event 2" section that begins at 8 pm on Thanksgiving. It is a limited quantity item.

How does is work at WalMart with the staggered sale start times? The first sale begins at 6 pm so the store will obviously already be filled with people when the 8 pm items go on sale. What format of line do they use for the items that begin at 8 pm?

I would also love the cheaper 50" tv that Target has advertised, but I'm planning to hit Walmart anyway for the Beats headphone guaranteed in stock deal.

Can any BF expert fill me in on how the lines & availability work at WalMart & Target? We live in Nebraska & hubby says there is no way he will wait in line outside freezing on Thanksgiving for a cheap tv. Is that what it will take?

I work for a national insurance company and agree with this. The company I work for will not insure anyone with a large trampoline, even with the enclosure. Though their reasoning has nothing to do with "attractive nuisance"--it has to do with the risk/cost of injury. And the fact that many times the injury is not actually your own child, but someone that came to play at your house. Just fyi...

When I worked at Sam's Club this was a big seller and a BIGGER issue. Insurance companies HATED this item and no wonder. They were returned as quickly as they were purchased!

Closer to the actual day the circular will notate whether or not the item will be available online. The BIG doorbusters are usually not available online but it doesn't hurt to try.

It always depends on your area. Personally I wouldn't dare attempt a deal like that in a store that is open 24 hours, especially when most of the people there are experts and I'm not!

Target in my area always has a very orderly line outside and let's everyone in one by one at the time of opening. Inside they have personnel who show us where everything is. I prefer Target for this reason.

The store will be open so you do not have to wait outside. How it worked last year at my Walmart they had different sections of the store roped off and you waited in line. They also gave out numbers to everyone and when it was time to give out tvs they called out the numbers in order. It was a very easy process.

Am interested in the soda stream deal. My DD wants one. I hope it is online because I really don't want to go out on Thanksgiving, plus in MA I don't think our stores can open because of Blue Laws (but I could be mistaken).

The problem I found with the handing out of numbers is every store hands them out differently. One store I went to handed them out the evening BEFORE and had the people come back! How unfair was THAT?

When did your store start handing out the numbers? At the time the sale started, one hour before? How does anyone know?

My Walmart had the same line up/number process for the large TVs. The fine print of the ad specifies they may issue wristbands to those in line prior to start times. It's the smaller items in sales displays where I see people get crazy!

Each individual item will have its own line. You will be required to stand in the line . You will be issued a paper with the amounts of each item you would like to purchase. When the sale begins you will give your paper and they will give you however many units you put on your paper. You will be able to leave the line for restroom breaks but you will have to return and wait up until the event actually starts. Yes some items its a limit of one or two but others have larger limits. Once all items are accounted for they will start to inform anyone getting in the line. They will allow you to wait sometimes units are not accounted for. People are not allowed to get more than the declared but they can take less therefore they do have extra units sometimes.

That is correct. :0( Layaway will be closed I believe through the following Monday.

I know. I am glad they have the swap force deal. I will be after:

*Trampoline (DD is in diving and this will really help...not to mention everyone will have fun) Does anyone know if these are in high demand or are they pretty easy to get?

I wonder if it iwll be hard to get my items....I hope not :/

Got a trampoline there last year. Got there an hour early and was pretty far back in the line.

I want the ipad mini for the 6 yr old. My sister wants the laptop and maybe a tv. Plus well have to wait inline for the 8 pm sale to get the nabi 2 for the 4 yr old. Plus all the small things we want.

yes. Last year they sold the IPad 2 for $499 with a $100 gift card. It was guaranteed last year aand we got a email 3 weeks later that it came in. This year they guarantee it will be in stock.

On Dec. 10th they put the IPad 4 with Retina on sale for $399 in store only. My dh happened to see some posting that CNN reported and it was true. He called 5. Stores before he found a Walmart with inventory. They put it on hold for him and I went and picked up my Christmas present. There was a lady arguing that she wanted one and the manager was telling her the price was $650. I asked for mine and the sales person found my name and saw I had one on hold and he was shocked when it came up as $399. I paid and we ignored the lady arguing on the other side and I walked out of there really fast.
