Walking to/from Santa Fe

All the times we've been to DLP we've only once tried to walk back from the Village - it was very late and took us ages because we got lost (cocktails may have added to the confusion lol) However, taking a baby in a pushchair and a 7yr old I think it maybe easier to walk when we go soon - the shuttles are chaos with pushchairs from what I've seen!

Does anyone have any tips or a map?

It's a lovely walk along the river and into the village and it avoids the crowds at the main bag check and on the buses.
From the Santa Fe you go towards the river and cross over the bridge to the Cheyenne. Then walk along the river till you get to HNY. Walk in front of HNY to top of Village. Then you go through bag check, then walk through the Village to the Parks.
On the return, when you get to end of HNY it's signposted to Santa Fe and Cheyenne, just remember not to go over bridge towards Sequoia Lodge!
It may help if you request a room near to the Rio Grande, that way you can get back to your room quickly.

There is an interactive map on the DLP website which will give you an idea. When we stay at the Santa Fe or the Cheyenne we always walk to and from the Village and parcs.

When are you going ? Best solution would be to find someone their at the same time and when they walk into the parks ask them to leave a trail of breadcrumbs for you to follow

When we've stayed at the Cheyenne we've walked back most of the time. Now they've put in the barriers that force you walk round past the new disney store, by the time you've reached the train station/village junction you're half way there and it feels like much less hassle to keep on walking rather than get the bus.

When we stayed at Santa Fe we walked rather then got the shuttles. Its a great walk along the river and past the other hotels. First time it feels like forever, but from the hotel to disney villiage i think it takes around 20 mins (could be wrong but its not much more then that)
