Walking to Disney Challenge

After w/r's Sat and Monday, I'm up to 41.5/1332. Just cruisin' down the highway towards the state line now!

Hi everyone .....I am back.

Sorry I have been away....lots of stufff going on in life but should be back to normal now. I have kept up with some of my walking but I have alot of ground to make up.

Weight loss is kinda on hold also. Good thing is I didn't gain.. :cheer2:

So back at it today, hitting the gym at lunch and walking tonight.

Great to see you all doing so well. I will have to read all the posts to catch up....lol

Have a great day.

Thanks for the good luck wish, Kris!

Hockeychic,
Thanks to your great idea, I now have a project for the kids to do where I work. For the month of May we have to create a fitness project (my program is in a health club.) Guess what I'm doing??? :teeth:

Well I finally made my first 100 miles, but I haven't made it to the Colorado/Kansas Stateline yet.... good thing I packed extra batteries ;)

Looks like everyone is making some tracks! I'm glad to see us getting along our way.

I have just updated my mileage. I have had a bit of a rough go at it. Hope that it will be a lot better this week.
I am 142.8/1047.3 with 904.5 miles to go! I have no idea where I might be, but I am headed in the right direction!
:cool1:

Enjoy your trek everyone!

Not been an active week, this last one. But sometimes it just goes like that. I managed a couple of good home workouts, so I ended up 10.4 km. sigh I'll try to do better this week, but looking at the calendar. . .

Good luck every one. At least the weather will be nice for walking this week -not too much rain, and I won't need my winter coat! :earboy2:

Including my 6-miler on Sat, I'm up to 51/1332.

Keep up the great work everyone!

Last week was not productive for me. I'm hoping to recover some miles this week plus I started 10 minute solutions - target toning last Thursday. I expect to put in at least 10 minutes on abs every other day and maybe 10 minutes thighs and 10 minutes buns, either on the same days as abs on in rotation.

I didn't get too many miles in last week. I have been pretty busy with school work since my semester is almost over. Hopefully I can get a few walks in this week. I want to break 50 miles this week.

I'm almost to New York :) I was able to go for a 10 mile run today. The weather was perfect!

165 down, 1160 to go :cool1:

I finally broke the 50 mile mark!! :cool1: Now I only have 1062.68 to go. :earsgirl:

It's less than 15 miles from my last stop to the Maryland state line.

I'm at 12 miles for this week and it's Thursday. I should easily reach that by Friday and certainly could surpass it. :cool1:

Walking to WDW is the Coolest thing I've ever heard. :teeth: I just started trying to take the kids out every night in the stroller. Now we will just have to find out how far we need to walk. Thanks for the idea. :cheer2:
Nachito pirate: My Little Pirate
Leila princess: My Little Princess
We will make it to WDW. We only have 122 days!

Congrats to everyone who's motoring down the highway! I'm at 58.5/1332. Still working towards that state line!

Darn! I'm just shy of Maryland. If only I'd gone walking today, I'd have made it. It's been eight weeks since I started the challenge and I'm just 2/3 mile short of 70 miles. :cheer2: How's everyone else doing?

Hoping to be to DC by the end of the week. 45 miles done so far :) Keep up the good work everyone. Kris, when you get to Maryland.

Sorry I went AWOL a few weeks ago. I did go to Disney and had a blast, but I was soon sucked back into reality...

The aide that worked in my classroom passed away last week from brain cancer. It really reminded me that I am in control of my own health (i.e. I can exercise, eat right, etc.)

I'm not sure if I will be doing the walking to Disney challenge as frequently. It's not say that I'm giving up on weight loss, but I've got to get my spirits up first before I can get back to the gym. :(
