Walking to Disney Challenge

I'm now at 86/2465 miles. That puts me just north of Gainesville on I 75. I finally feel like I'm getting somewhere!

Woo hoo! I even figured out a way to get a map in this post! I downloaded it into my computer, then into my Comcast online storage, then used the insert picture feature here! Pretty good for an amateur! :cool1: I wasn't sure that would get it here, but when I tried it, it showed up!

oh! My heart is with you. It is so hard to lose someone you care about :grouphug:

Thanks for the hugs! I can tell they are working already! :)

lajones81 - What a horrible thing to experience! :grouphug: Don't let it keep you away from teh gym for too long, though. Exercise may help you deal with this. I can understand needing a little time, though.

I'm at 65.5/1332. Slowly but surely....

lajones81, sending hugs, prayers and pixie dust your way. I know it is hard to get back into a routine, but I find, myself, that once I've started my walk, it is a time to reflect, plan, and then, before you know it, I don't want to go in. Hoping that it is the same for you. :grouphug: Come visit anytime that you are "down".

For me, it was a busy week again, but I logged a few miles. I'm off to update my siggie.

I'm joining in, everyone!!! I just got a pedometer this evening so I can keep track of my steps/distance and I'm so excited because I really want to do this!! I've decided I'm gonna walk to CBR since my hubby and I want to stay there again. I have no real goal date to do this by...but neither am I gonna say I can just sit back idly and take my time. I want to accomplish this. It's exactly 867.45 miles away from my apartment. So off I go!!!

Hello,

I've passed the 200 mile mark! Yippeee :cheer2:

Sunny

Bravo!!! :cheer2:

I'm averaging only a mile a day. I need to pick up the pace in order to get to WDW by October. :sad2: Gotta work on it! But, I can still cheer you on!! Keep up the good work!! :jumping2:

I'm about 20 miles outside of DC- hoping to be there by the end of the week, and then VA, here I come :)

This is such an awesome idea! I started walking last week, but got sidetracked. :confused3 Back on top now, and very excited about walking from Oklahoma to Florida!

Good luck to everyone!

Sunny, congratulations on hitting the 200 mile mark.   You're doing fabulously well. Keep up the good work!
:cheer2:
Nancy, you will hit that 100 mile mark before you know it!

 Hi Karen (SRUAlmn)! I made it across the state line, currently 75 miles from home, on I-83 outside Parkton MD. I should reach Baltimore City next week. :goodvibes

Yeah for you! You're in my county now :) Since you're going down 83 you won't go through my town, but give us a wave in about 15-20 miles :wave2:

I'll see you in a week, may two from now! I'm averaging about 12 miles/week.

Ok yesterday I did 5.89 miles and it looks like I'll be nearing the 6 mile mark again today.

Yesterday I did another 5.87 miles!! Have almost 12 miles out of the way now. :)

Checking in with this week's mileage. I doubt I will go outside - raining today - but if there's a break I can add another mile or two.

As of this morning I have reached 80.36 miles of my journey. That places me in the Monkton area of Maryland along I-83.

I did another 5.69 miles yesterday. Not as much as I would have liked, but still better than nothing. I would like to reach an actual 6 miles today.

Raining here today too :( I work at a fitness club, though, so that free membership will come in handy today! :cheer2:
