Walking distances?

I'm trying to figure out how to time my FP+ for Space and Thunder. How long does it take to walk between the two? They are pretty much the furthest points in the park and my last two things to do before my afternoon break

Allow 15-20 minutes, moderate pace.

When you say "in the park," you mean "in the Magic Kingdom park."

If you are riding Thunder first and you don't want to walk you could always take the train and get off at Fantasy Land and take that path next to Brainstormer that leads directly to Space. Or you could do it in the opposite order, but the train ride would be longer.

Honestly, it depends. I have seen where people posted about the long walks, etc. But, personally, I don't think it takes long at all to get anywhere in the park. I am a mildly fast walker in decent shape and do not mind walking at all.

That being said, 15-20 minutes is a safe number. This is a reason I had no issue with the old FP system, I didn't come close to thinking it required excessive crossing of the park because I did it quick and am used to walking a lot.

Walking would most likely be faster unless you walked up right as the train was loading and hopped right on. 15-20 minutes should be plenty of time to stroll over. I hate being in a hurry anytime we are at Disney. The strolling and people watching are some of my favorite things.

I think 15-20min is a good estimate. We always find the Splash/Big Thunder Mountain area to be pretty congested and takes a while to get out of there.

That was me last year. I tried to take the train from Space to Splash (next to Big Thunder at MK) last year, and it took forever. The train doesn't come as often at MK as it does at DL, it tends to be more crowded, and the station nearest to Space Mountain is actually a few minutes walk up a winding path back to Storybook Circus (Tomorrowland doesn't have a station at MK the way it does at DL.) Walking really is probably your best bet. Just exit Tomorrowland via the main walkway back to the Hub, go straight across to Liberty Square, and hug the Rivers of America along the wooden walkway all the way to Big Thunder. In Disneyland terms, the walk will be about as long, and potentially as crowded, as trying to make your way from Autopia over to the single rider entrance/exit of Splash Mountain. If that makes sense to you, you'll have a sense of how long you'll personally need to make that walk.

Makes perfect sense! Is that really how long it is? I was picturing longer, so maybe I'm actually overestimating how massive it is! Although, traveling single, it would only take around 10 minutes from Autopia, unless there's a parade or Fantasmic going on

It may be a bit longer, but overall the Hub and is what's larger at MK. A lot of what really makes MK larger than DL is backstage land. I mean it's a larger park, but not massively larger. Frontierland at MK can be really crowded the same way NOS at DL can be crowded, though. As others have said, just getting through there can take some time. And MK has frequent castle stage shows "pop-up" street parties that crowd the hub, so that adds to things as well. The west side of the park having the pinch points will feel very familiar, I bet!

The west side does clog up, especially during F! But that tomorrow land entrance is pretty bad too, especially if you have a large crowd returning for Star Tours!
