Walking distance to MK?

How far is it from the Wildnerness Lodge to the MK?

Is it a fairly easy walk?

It is not a good walk.

You CAN walk to Mk from WL, but it is along a heavily traveled road with busses, cars, etc. I'm sure it has been done, but you should stick to a bus or the boat to MK.

One afternoon we walked from Poly to WL, although not a long walk, just a ton of bus traffic! Just seemed like we were begging to get hit!

Do yourself a favor and take Disney Transportation. Now, you can take a boat to Contemporary and walk to MK from there, if you're dead set on walking!

I'm not sure the exact distance in miles, but I don't think you'd want to try to walk it. There's a boat that will be your most efficient form of transportation to MK.

Thanks for the info. I was just thinking about saving from time if I ever wanted to stay at VWL and take the monorail to Epcot.

You'll do better taking the bus directly to Epcot. If you really want to take the monorail to Epcot, either take the boat over to the Contemporary, get on the monorail & change over at the TTC or take a bus directly to the TTC.

It will take longer to walk than just waiting for the bus/boat to MK. The boat is really a quick trip, and usually has enough seats (except at closing) so you don't have to stand. Pretty scenery too!

Surprising as it is, you actually can't walk from the WL to the MK (unless you want to swim or walk along the road).
You can either take a boat from the dock (approx. 5-15 travel time minutes depending on the boat travel path) or a bus to the TTC and then the monorail or boat to the MK (approx. 15-20 minutes depending on bus wait times).
We've always taken the boat from WL to MK with no problems.

I'm a great walker & will almost always try to walk if possible, but trust me, SAVE YOUR FEET! You will be glad at the end of the day!

We have found WL transportaion to be really good. Very few problems and non that did not turn out just fine with a little patience. Enjoy the stay.
