walking after surgery (how much do I commit to if there is a Sept challenge?)

Just back from vaca - at this point not sure if I'll make another 500 mins for Aug or not - so Im thinking ahead to Sept

Sept 1st Im going in for surgery - through laproscopy they are taking out 3 cysts from my left ovary and doing a DnC.
Has anyone had this type of surgery done and how long was your recuperation? Should I expect to be doing laps around the "gerbil track" the day after?

I haven't had the same surgery as you, but I did have laproscopic surgery on my gall bladder about 2 years ago, & it took me a while to get back on my feet. I'm sure you will do this anyway, but if I were you I'd be sure to talk to my Dr about what I should expect to be able to do, & how soon after surgery I could reasonably expect to do it. Good luck with your surgery & when the time comes be sure to let us know how it went.

Hope you had a good vacation! Now get moving on those extra 500 min! You can do it! At the rate you've been exercising you'll make it easily!

Hmmm.... I guess I'm in a similar situation. I'm having a tubal done next week Friday. I'll make my goal 1000 minutes (down from 1500) since we can always set a 2nd, 3rd, 4th goal if we want to. I think I'll work out like a fiend before the surgery and hopefully I can slowly get back into the workout routine afterwards.

I had laparoscopy surgery for cysts on the ovaries and it was a good 8 days before I was walking upright. Just take it easy and when you feel right and ready I'm sure you will know. Sometimes surgery takes a lot out of you, more than you expect.
