We will be moving to Folsom(CA). It is a suburb of Sacramento. Depending on surgery, we will be gone between 3/1-4/1. We have lots of things to start planning this weekend. Linda get her birthday off from work(Fri) and gets to take care of me:rolleyes1

Checklist:

1) Find apartment
2) Find jobs

Happy Birthday Linda:dance3:

Hi Guys!

How's it goin'? Dave and Bill's new threads have already got me moving -- even when I didn't want to -- gotta get those miles and hours, and gotta be on the healthy bandwagon!:rockband:

I want to be a lean, mean endurance machine!:rotfl:

Dave -- great job on the weight loss! I lost the 1.5 lbs I gained while I was away:rolleyes1 Yes, you can do a half marathon and still gain weight if you eat at Boatwrights, Earl of Sandwich and Spoodles...dh refuses to have a WISH name. He likes his anonymity. He's just plain Dennis. What a partypooper, but I guess I'm stuck with him now!:lovestruc

Robert -- it is indeed a daunting list, but you can do it! In 1998 I gave birth, found a new job, turned 30 and moved, in that order. scared1:

Linda -- Happy Birthday!:cheer2:

Jeanne & Wendy -- Wow, the KK race does look like a "kids in America" kind of thing. Glad to see they are out and not watching tv, as I did when I was that age!:lmao:

Nancy -- so are you having a ww recipe tonight? We're having chicken w/avocado corn salsa. It looks yummy, gotta love those ww flavor combos!:upsidedow

Ok, so yesterday was crosstraining for me -- I did half an hour on the stationary bike. Today is a rest day, I'm planning some strength training. Thank goodness tomorrow I get to walk again!:cool1:

I have a confession to make -- I was walking while holding onto the TM before the Half. I know, I know. Well, since it's been made perfectly clear there's nothing to hold onto during a long race:rotfl2: , I've stopped. I'm going a bit slower, but not as slow as I thought I would be. I guess I was holding on for comfort more than balance, so it's all good! I can feel myself working harder, so that's a plus. One of these days, I will actually get a proper form.

I'm off to have my lean cuisine lunch -- garlic ginger stir fry with chicken, yum! I'm still counting those points...

I'll be looking forward to seeing Wendy and Jeanne in those cute Krispy Kream hats.

Happy Birthday to John and Linda. :bday: :cake: party:

Nancy

OK, I have given in to peer pressure and created my own log in for these boards, so from now on, if I remember to log in under my name, I will post as myself instead of as Scott!

I got in 3 miles today outside inspite of below 0 wind chill! Also did some weight training and a pilates tape.

Can someone point me in the direction of the Miles challenge/log on? I did 3 on the TM tonight and felt great. A week off has not hurt a bit and I feel great.

So when that baby starts up count me in.

Thanks for keeping me in the loop.

denise

P.S. Lynn below zero, no way lowest, I've done is 15. Your a saint!

Maria--- Tonight WW meal was Buffalo cheddar stuffed burgers. So far this week we had Sheared Scallops, New Orleans Gumbo, Zero Veg soup, and Melted crap sandwiches. All have been yummy. You need to use so many spices that every week there for awhile it was like the Spice of The Week we had to buy at the store. I do love their receipes, what is nice it is real food and everyone will eat it. It takes some getting used to not holding onto the TM. The only time I hold on is if I put it up in a steep incline so I don't fall off.

Welcome Lynn glad you made your own screen name.

Congratulations to Dave and Maria on losing weight. I am trying to wait until Sat to weigh myself.

Nancy

Ummmm.....melted crap sandwiches....sounds yummy!!!!! Did Norm enjoy them too?

Mmmmmmm I was thinking, what could that be but it must be CRAB. I'm suppose to weigh in on Sunday but Miranda and I have a bridal expo to attend in Boston, I may go to the meeting on Saturday, stop in for weigh in on Sunday and the zip to Boston with her.

Now there's temptation, BOSTON. Heaven help the both of us.

Denise you are on our team for the miles game. We are thinking about names right now.

Jeanne, John can be on the miles game also. I need a few more athletes to even out the teams.

Good morning y'all. I'm off to the gym to get the pudge cells on the run.

Oh my gosh I didn't realize I did that. My family pretty much thinks I'm a terrible cook so maybe it did taste like crap to them. :rotfl2:

Denise--- In our area there is no Sunday WW meetings or weigh in. I'm going to go Sat morning. But after this weigh in not sure I will go each week. I am a lifetime member so you only have to pay for the times you weigh in. Usually after I get motivated I just go back to weigh in every few weeks and pick up more tracking papers. I never stay for meetings. I used to like the meetings years ago, but I have found them turning into a commercial for WW anymore. They are helpful for alot people, but not me.

I've been such a good girl this week, eating right and exercising everyday. May have to reward myself with some wine over the weekend.

Nancy

I am crossing over from the running/walking thread and invading alien territory to recruit for the Miles Game thread. I am here to reinforce the Panda post requesting more participants in our "game".

Bring on your miles, bring on your hours, oh, and bring your trash talkin, silly acting, bright and smiling faces and get motivated!!! :flower3: We need bodies people!!! There are prizes, friends galore and the occasional harrassment. Come one, come all....we really like everyone you know and every mile/minute counts toward the total no matter how much/far.

Oh, and cheerleaders/scream teamers are welcome!!!!! We need all the help we can get.....:rolleyes1

Good Morning!

Well, I meant to strength train last night, and I meant to eat a WW recipe...on the bright side, at least I ate Subway and could count the points, so it's something.

Today I get to walk again, so I'm a happy camper:cool1: 40 minutes on the TM when I get home, and I'm all set. No holding on, I promise! I can get up to 4.9 mph without feeling the need to hold on, so I think that's a decent place to start. :thumbsup2

Lisa -- I think most of the folks on this thread have signed on, but you might catch a new one here or there -- I know the truth, you're just recruiting more people to your team because you know Team 6 is gonna win!:rotfl:

Nancy -- Well, other than the "melted crap", I think you're eating some yummy dishes!:lmao: Ok, so our plan this week was stuffed peppers, pot roast w/mashed potatoes, grilled chicken w/avocado corn salsa, and crab rolls w/soup. We only missed the chicken, but I already have the avocados so that either means the chicken this weekend or guacamole...I know what dh will pick, so maybe I'd better buy some chicken!

Dave -- Have a great time at the gym. If you find a place pudgy cells like to go, please let me know so I can get mine an express ticket...:yay:

Denise -- The Bridal Expo sounds like a blast. Did you know they now have wedding dresses inspired by the Princesses? I think it's www.disneybridal.com. Might be fun to look for inspiration if you see one that matches your princess's personality...princess: You can resist the lure of Boston goodies, I promise. Ok, well let yourself have one treat, otherwise where's the fun in that?!:confused3

Jeanne -- I am reporting for duty, Captain! I think we should call you "Captain JeanneWay", in honor of another favorite captain of mine. Just ignore me, with a screen name with "Worf" in it, you can guess I'm a little trekker. popcorn::

Lynn -- So glad to see you with your own name! I am one of the challenged who can never tell if it's you or Scott posting, so now I will call you by your name!:surfweb:

Robert -- I hope things are going well for you, I know it's a tough week!:grouphug:

Bill -- How was that first walk? Wait, that was another thread...I can't keep track!:scared: Anyway, how's it goin'?

Ok, as someone was saying on the bus as we were headed to Epcot for our event, "Just keep walking, walking, walking" (paraphrasing Dory).

Maria:cheer2:

Maria: I know absolutely zilch about Star Trek so all those references mean nothing to me. That said, I am a HUGE Star Wars fan, however, so feel free to address me as Lord Vader...or even just "Master". :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Well, gosh I'm just hoping you're this kind of Master :yoda:

"Do or Do Not, There is No Try"

I promise to listen to your sage wisdom -- even if you seem to have a tendency toward the Dark side...:darth: :scared1:

See I told y'all she would be a good team leader. I'm surprised that her team name is not "BITE Me".

I think we're going to have to call you "Instigator Panda!"

Maria

How about innocent as the new fallen snow Panda?

Good morning guys. It's aweful cold here, burrrrrrrr, right now 8 degrees. I must have woke up in the far north where Nancy and Margie live. Southern Kentucky ain't supposed to be this cold.

Jeanne and Nancy you guys are gonna finish the half next year and you will be thinking, wow that was to short, I wanna keep going. You just wait that's gonna happen.

Where is Kim?

Robert is ok I read over on his site that they were able to do it with the scope. But they are growing a culture to implant that may require more surgery.

He's right, I didn't think it was all that bad. Continue to train and your legs will be STRONG!

As far as Robert, I've been looking for updates, never thought about HIS website. Thanks for the heads up.
