I am trying to figure out our dining at Boatwright's and with the new policy on cancellations I am hesitant to book an ADR. We for sure will have 2 people, and 95% sure 1 more will be joining, but we may have another joining last minute and I wonder the chances of us getting seated by walking up? I don't want to book for 4 and get charged when one doesn't show. How busy are Saturday nights there? I guess if nothing else, we could dine at the food court instead there.

I think that as long as you know that there is a possibility of being turned away, and would be content with the food court, then just go for it. Also, if you go very early (5:00 pm) you might have a better chance.

Getting a walk-up shouldn't be a problem, but the new cancelation policy doesn't apply to Boatwrights anyway.

This. Make an ADR anyway just to be safe, if you can. Although I agree that you shouldn't have trouble walking up.

Boatwright's is not one of the restaurants affected by the new cc guarantee policy. At the top of the Dining Reservations page is a sticky that lists the restaurants that are included - mainly signatures and character dining. If there are other restaurants you're interested in, you can check. :)

I have found that Boatwright's at dinner can get VERY busy, even in the off-season. Riverside has over 2000 rooms. Definitely recommend making a reservation, even if you end up with fewer diners actually showing up that night.
