I do have a day by day plan and know the ADR's I want, ADR day is next tuesday! It's just the boyfriend and me. And we'll be doing two nights at Universal before Disney, trying out the new Cabana Bay which looks awesome!

Oh awesome!! Cabana Bay looks amaze balls and Diagon Alley will be open too, lucky! We did universal last trip just the hubs and I for the day but decided to skip this time bc the ride heights are a lot taller and stricter there so not a lot for the kiddos, hope to go back soon tho!

Is this your first trip to univ/WDW? You should start a PTR!! What ADRs are you shooting for? Lol...

Hahaha! That's an April Fools joke! Never believe anything on April 1st you read! I soooo fell for one too...I read about Epcot adding a Brazilian and Russian pavilion yesterday and then towards the end of the article it got really silly! Glad I wasn't the only one

Lol you're hilarious! I love it! I actually just started a PTR /pointsatsignature I know wdw and universal pretty well. I did the International Program way back in 2004 and worked at Le Cellier for a year Of course being a cast member and getting to come and go easily is very different then just visiting as a guest with all the planning involved. I have been back once since in 2010, wish I had been on the disboards back then! So many awesome people and info!

Absolutely LOVE the little outfits that Lori made the girls... I have a thing for the western theme of Toy Story - so even though it's for HDDR and not Toy Story - I still love the bandana/cow print fabrics together. Great job Lori! Can't wait to see the girls modeling them!

I almossssst cut CP but then the scheduling worked out with moving Ohana to departure day and I was like "why not"...my kiddos don't watch a lot of Pooh but I'm gonna rent some of the newer movies for them! Can't wait! Well be in MK early that day and for the BBB on that day too!! Woohoo!

Well now that ADR's are done and out of the way, it's onto worrying and obsessing over the next thing...lol...and for me that is WHEN WILL FALL DISCOUNTS COME!!!

It's usually the end of spring, I think May last year, when free dining was announced and I have been trying to tell myself I don't really care if it comes out, as my trip is paid in full, but truth be told, I DO!!!

For some unknown reason (I like to torture myself) I found myself reading up on everything Port Orleans Riverside. I now want to stay there sooooo bad!

Don't get me wrong, I love AoA and will be totally happy staying there again, but if given the choice I would like to try POR, and the hubs really wants to try something new, and he loves POR from what he's seen and now even Olivia is in on the action wanting to stay in a "Tiana room" to match her Tiana swimsuit, lol...

Anywho, I crunched the #'s, and we've paid $3500 for our vacay as is, and as I mentioned, its paid off... looking at room rates today, which were undiscounted at all, without dining (thinking of if FD does come out) it would be as follows for POR

Garden View Standard Room- $3,080.49
Preferred Room- $3,239.17
Royal Room, Standard View- 3,368.37

So I would actually have left over money which I could throw towards the Memory Maker, orrrrrrrrr............................



Go EARLIER!!! Yeee!!!

So, interesting news, my hubby got promoted yesterday, he will now be a detective! His schedule is changing to a straight up M-F thing and we had planned this trip according to his rotating schedule. He already has the time off, but now we will be leaving on Sun, and he will be off that Saturday before!! So, obviously, my wheels were IMMEDIATELY turning and I put in the same POR package, but leaving as early as FRIDAY night and it would be less than $500 depending on which room to go up to 3 days sooner!!! That is including the theme park tickets, and this scenario had FD, so everything would be covered!

We have not bought airfare yet so leaving earlier is no big deal as of now!! I can see no downside to this, and MAJOR bonus would be I could meet up with Lori and Jackie!!! SQUUUUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE! Like seriously. SQUEE!!!

Anyway, so now I am like all totally and majorly worked up!! I just love it!! I love it all!! I am thinking now, even if we don't get a FD discount we will somehow be able to add at least a day to our trip and leave Saturday! Knowing us there is NO WAY we will be able to sit at home just waiting for Disney to come!! It's different if you have work, but not working, pshhhhhhh.. take me to Disney NOW!

So yeah, it there may not be a lot of dining options left is only downside, so now I am wondering, should I go ahead and just plan for an extra night or two and book some things? I mean its not like I couldnt just cancel them right? Right? I'm right, I know it... lol...

Obviously, if the FD window wasnt open earlier that would foil these plans..but one can hope, right! Ya never know... lol

Sidenote: Anyone have any differences and preferences between POR and POFQ?? It looks like POR is more our style and I love te Royal Rooms but POFQ the bus stops at first, lol... just curious...

Okay, I have rambled enough, but tell me all your input!!

I have chosen not to wait for your responses and went ahead and booked a meal for Saturday night. I think that there is no way I will not find a way to leave a day earlier, no way at all. Even if I have to just pay for that day, so I went ahead and booked...........

I KNOW that someone (LORI!!!!!) will be excited for this as she so happens to hold a 5:30 ADR at the exact same place that day...what a coincidence!

Wow!Wow! Wow! That is so exciting! Extra Disney time! I am pretty envious! I was able to talk the BF into leaving one day early...actually I started it as a half day early and he said why not the whole day?! (Its going towards Cabana Bay though which is still nice)

Loved POR when we were there! I wish we had spent more time exploring it though. I really want to go back and do Alligator Bayou. I think its more our style then the mansions(which we still liked when we stayed there and thats where I had wanted to stay).

And POFQ I have always wanted to stay! There's just something enchating about it! Except they more then likely won't have any discounts come fall or very small. Aslong as you have some resort time planned I think you should totally go for POR! Doooo it! Doooo it! You know you want to!

Also congrats to your hubs on the promotion!
