Hello all!! I am crazy excited because DH and I leave tomorrow morning for WDW. We're staying at the Dolphin and will touch down around 9:25 if all goes well, meaning we'll have lots of time to hang out and have a good lunch. However, because delays/lost luggage/weather/how we'l feel after a 4:30 wakeup call tomorrow morning are all variables in the equation, I didn't want to make reservations for lunch anywhere or plan to hit the parks right away. Our plan is to either hit the Boardwalk area and explore, or do the same in DTD.

What would you recommend for lunch on such short notice? We have ADRs for Hoop de Doo Revue at 7:15 that night, so nothing too elaborate or heavy. There is also a small possibility that we might be in the mood to add on a day to our tickets and hit the parks...but I want to leave our options open :)

If you go to the Boardwalk area, I would recommend the ESPN Club - we have had lunch there several times and it is very good. They have a great selection of appetizers if you are looking to eat light. Right there is also a pizza window and the pizza is pretty good as well as the Boardwalk Bakery which has sandwiches. Have a great trip. I love the Dolphin!

There's also Big River Grill and Brewing co. at the Boardwalk.

If you decide on DTD, then you can't go wrong with Earl of Sandwich!:thumbsup2

Raglan Road - DTD or Counter Service at Wolfgang Puck Express

I might check out Beaches and Cream over at the Beach Club if you stay in the Boardwalk area!

Or, head downstairs to Picabu. I love Picabu. I try to eat there even if I'm staying at BWVs!!!
ESPN is pretty decent. Or if you decide to head to DTD, I love Wolfgang Puck Express in the Marketplace, behind the Christmas store.

If you go to Downtown Disney I would highly recommend Earl of Sandwich.

However if you go to the Boardwalk I would recommend the ESPN Club or going to the Beach Club and trying Beaches & Cream.

I have never been disappointed in Earl's and you can't beat the prices :dance3:

MY favorite lunch spot on the Boardwalk is Big River Grille. Decent bar food, good beers and (if it is a nice day) you can sit outside.

Stay away from ESPN. It is truly horrible. I have tried it several times over the years and each meal was worse than the one before. Finally, several years ago, I just gave up and vowed to never go there again.
