Walk-In at CM?

Try as I may, it would seem that getting an ADR for any non-park character breakfast (CM preferrably) during our upcoming stay (12/3-12/11) isn't going to happen.

Much as I would like to think that a dream cancellation will happen between now and then, I am now wondering if just showing up as a walk-in might work on our day of choice (12/7)? Anyone have much success taking that route or should we just plan on eating at the resort or DTD that day?

Not good, unless you want to get up very early -- might work if you're actually staying at the Contemporary. If you get there right when they start serving breakfast...which I think is 7:00 a.m., you might get in. We had breakfast there with a 7:20 ADR last year....we checked in around 7:10 or 7:15 & they were taking walk-ups at that time, telling them 20 minute wait. However, when we left around 8:10 or 8:15 they were telling people no availability for the rest of breakfast and there were hundreds of people milling around waiting to be seated. That was in late January during a VERY slow time. (Not MLK Jr holiday weekend...parks were empty.)

And DO keep checking on-line. People cancel...especially around the 45 days-out from the date mark (people cancel then to get their deposit back)

I was able to get Chef Mickey ADRs for several trips by calling them a few times a day (((( you know they LOVED that )))). You migh also try the online option. I have not tried that yet.

But I finally got in on both occassions. Dont give up!

Also Ohana at the POLY does character dining. When we went, Lilo, Stitch and Mickey and Minnie were there....
