Waitlisting How do I know if my room comes through?

Is there a place to check on the dvcmember site?

I've booked 2 nights at AKV and requested a waitlist for the third night.

On the dvcmember site, you just go to your vacations and see if anything has changed. I check a few times every day, nothing has changed for me yet! Pixie dust for you!

If your wait list comes through, they will also immediately send you a new reservation confirmation in the mail - usually just a couple of days later.

Whew-several times a day? Now I don't feel quite so bad. I check twice a day for my October waitlist, and since I'm waitlisted at 3 different places, I'd also want to see which one I got.
Yes, I also thought MS had stopped calling. Or are you waitlisted for something within 31 days?

Very interesting! I had one of my waitlists come through on Sunday and they didn't call me.

To the OP, as bobbiwoz mentioned, I log on to the member website and check my points available (since the waitlist if for higher point villas) or my vacation details page. Sometimes both!

I'm averaging out the "checking waitlist times." In just a few days, I'll be without a PC, and I won't be going on the member site from the library.

I hope you get your first choice, Simba's Mom! We're OK with SSR, VWL would cost us more points, so either way there's a good thing.

I was also told that they don't call you. You have to check the DVC site or be surprised when the new ressie arrives!!!

I too check almost everyday; so far nothing.

Do you get any initial confirmation that you are on a waitlist? I just waitlisted this morning for 1/26 at VWL. Will that be confirmed by a letter in the mail or show up on the Member Site, or do I just take their word and check online as mentioned above to see if it came through?

There is no official confirmation that you are on a waitlist. You can call to confirm that you are or I suppose you can also send an e-mail.
