Waitlist within 31 day period

Hey all, I'm on the waitlist for July 17-23 for up to 7 days before check in. So basically my question is, have any of you ever had any luck w/ waitlist requests within the 31 day period? I've been pretty lucky in the past w/ waitlist requests, but I've never been on inside the 31 day window so I'm just curious if I have any chance. BTW, we're scheduled to be at SSR & our waitlist requests are both for BWV, 1 for garden/pool view & 1 for BW view. Everyone I've talked to w/ DVC when I was making the ressie & various changes to it seemed to think my best chance was actually the BW view.

Yes, you still have a chance. I have even had a waitlist come through within 7 days.
I don't know why anyone would think that BW view would be a better chance. BW view rooms are only about 20% of the resort and garden/pool is 60%. Of course there is always a certain amount of luck involved, but the math favors pool/garden.

I could be wrong, but I think there have been reports that some of the BW view rooms are out of service for the refurb, so that 20% may be even lower. Good luck!

Yea I'm not really holding my breath for a BW view, it would be nice but I'd be just as happy w/ a garden/pool view. I really just want somewhere @ BWV so I'm holding out hope that 1 of them will come thru!

If the rehab of BW view rooms progresses especially quickly perhaps some will be released back into inventory earlier than anticipated and you will get a brand-spanking new room from the waitlist! Let's hope!

I had a waitlist for BCV come thru 9 days before the night I was waitlisted for, 2 days before my trip there. I'd added an extra night about 5 months before the trip, but I had to waitlist for a room at BCV. Otherwise I'd have to move to a different resort. Two days before my trip, the waitlist came through.

I've had the most spectacular finds within seven days. Really great - AKV Savanna view - BWV Standard view (twice) - Vero Beach (OVIR). I've had SSR too.

There obviously are last minute cancellations and there are no waitlists during that period - so you can keep phoning.
