Waitlist success......I take that back!

I was just wondering if this has happened to anyone else.

I was on the waitlist for a standard view studio at BWV. I called MS as they left a message to call them. They said they had the studio for the week I was looking for and it would be 85 points, gave me a confirmation number and let me know how many points I had left in my account.

About 10 minutes later MS calls back and says they made a mistake. They used a lame excuse about confusing the standard views with the preferred views waitlist (even though I was not on a waitlist for preferred view) and that I really didn't have the reservation. They actually said I didn't have three days out of the seven AND TOOK THEM BACK!

I was at work so I of course couldn't really spend a lot of time on the phone discussing the absurdity of what they were doing.

I think I am going to call back to complain. Luckily I do have the confirmation numbers written down verifying that I was given the full week!

Do you agree that I have a legitimate gripe? Will they be able to fix this?
 
Sorry that happened to you. It certainly can't hurt to call, but I don't know if MS can fix it or not. It kind of sounds like you might be next on the waitlist, so maybe it can still work out.

My advice is to call, ask to speak to a supervisor, and politely explain what happened and why you are disappointed. Maybe MS can work some Disney magic for you. Good luck!
 
You should call and speak to a supervisor. But if they did make a mistake, they really can't give you what they don't have. Let us know how it works out.
