Waitlist Dec 26 - Jan 1

Hello everyone, long time lurker here

Just a quick question, my wife and I decided to try our chances at BWV for Dec 26-Jan1. I put in a waitlist for a 1 bedroom standard view.

Any advice as to strategy? Do I set up a second waitlist for the first day only and keep working to fill the week? Should I keep checking the website for a cancellation?

Any advice would be appreciated. Not sure this is a reasonable request due to the resort and time of year popularity.

Thank you in advance for any help or prior experience any of you may be able to offer.

Your chances are really bad, between Standard and those dates and wanting 5 days, given that waitlist must match all 5, and no one ahead, to have it come through.

You should stalk. But you might consider swapping to Pool/Garden, or to a resort with more total units.

Definitely keep checking website, multiple times a day. I would consider the 1 day at a time WL too..the only problem is that if you ended up getting a few nights, what would you do.

I do agree that SV is going to be difficult, and you might have more luck with either other resorts or Garden view as already suggested.

I was just looking for the same timeframes and saw studios available on the 30th at AKL (both of them)

I have given up on this date range and am paying cash at Pop.

Would live to hear any other ideas for this timeframe

I think you need to change your waitlist to pool/garden as others have said. The chances of getting standard view for those dates is probably slim to none and leaning more towards none. You should also probably make a 2nd waitlist for SSR. Good luck, hope you get lucky and get a room for your desired dates.

keep your pop for now you can always cancel later
and wait list lake view ,there are so many more of those rooms

I made a reservation at the swan and will change the waitlist as mentioned above. Maybe I’ll try for 2 or 3 days and do a split stay.

I’ve checked the site twice and not a single night came up at BCV or BWV.

We are looking to be able to walk back after the fireworks on the 31st (or I guess the 1st!)
