I'm on a waiting list for the dates Dec 19th thur Dec 22. I went to the Disney main web site and tried to book at Sartoga Springs for these dates and it looked like I could have booked those days. Does Disney save a certain percentage of rooms for the non DVC members?

Thanks.

Yes, they do.

It's frustrating but I understand why they do it. I'm still on a waitlist for one days in November and there are rooms available through CRO.

Good luck with your waitlist. :goodvibes

Christmas has come early at my house. I just called to check on my waiting list and was told that I have a confirmation for Saratoga in December. I can't wait to get home and tell the kids that they will be spending the Christmas holidays with Mickey! :cool1:

Thanks for your reply and I hope you get your day in November

Yes Disney does set aside a certain number of rooms for cash paying guests. We just got back from SSR on monday and also had to go on a waiting list of one night in the middle of our vacation. We went on a waiting list and about 3 weeks later it came through. The waiting list will be active until 6 days out. then you will have to call daily to check as see whats out there. Being this far away i think you should be fine. :thumbsup2

The general public can book a villa at a DVC resort via CRO, at first using "undeclared" inventory and then finally using “declared” inventory.

The “undeclared” inventory is the inventory that:

a) has not yet been purchased by members (including points Disney obtained by ROFR),
b) is the ~2-4% of rooms required for the developers to retain, or
c) has been deposited for cash conversion due to exchanges (Disney Cruise, Disney Collection, World Passport Collection).

The “declared” inventory is the inventory that has been purchased by DVC members. Any inventory not reserved by members using points is made available to CRO at the 60-day mark for cash reservations by the general public.
