Waiting lists - how do they work - 2BR BWV

HI, we just became official members as of today. We wanted to book a 2BR stnd view at BWV for Thanksgiving week but they do not have any available. They do however have preferred view. Can i book a preferred view now and then get on a waiting list for a stnd view? Thanks!

You sure can. However, if the standard view comes through, you will have extra points left over unless you book more nights. You might be too late in your use year to book the left over points. Would that be a problem? If you want a standard view at a prime time, you need to book that at 11 months. Same thing with Boardwalk view.

Our use year is December and we bought 250 pts. The 2br's of either view are going to cause us to borrow points from our 2007 pts. I'm new at this but i think that means that if we were switched to a stnd view from a preferred view the extra "borrowed" points would have to come back to 2006 use year? If so, i guess if it was after May31st then i'd be in some trouble.

If you have a December UY, you can bank 25% of your '06 points up to Sept. 30th, because you haven't banked any points so far.

When/if the sv becomes available, the CM should use the borrowed points first for the sv ressie, and so, the "extra" points that you have will be from the '06 UY and, if it is before Sept. 30th, those points can be banked into '07.

So, unless you're saving more than 62 points by the switch, you'll be OK. If you are saving more, then I hope the sv becomes available before August 31, that's your 50% banking deadline.
