Waiting List

On the waiting list. Do people usually get their request? B/C I am on it prior to 7 days before my arrival. Does it work well!

hi: it depends on what time you are going. during the busiest times, the waitlist doesn't always come through. out of the 8 or so times we've been waitlisted, it came through about half the time. most of the time when it didn't, it was because i tried to change requests (like moving from a 1br to a 2br) without much notice or because of last-minute add-ons/deletions of travellers.

Three weeks ago I tried to get into Boardwalk for the week of March 9 - 14 but couldn't. I tried BCV and nothing. I ended up booking at OKW and getting wait listed for BWV. Yesterday I got a call advising me that we had gotten into BWV so it does work. We have been waitlisted twice prior to this and those dates and locations came through. Good luck

we were booked for old key west in August/ early September and waitlisted for Boardwalk or Beach club and one week, Prior were notified we could move our ressie to Beach Club. So it does work.... we are wait listed for May, and I am crossing my fingers that we are in luck again.

I am new to wait listing, so this might be a stupid question, but, do I have to call regularly to see if my request will be fulfilled?

When you make your reservation and then request to be "wait listed" MS will ask if you would like them to automatically change your reservations (if one comes available) and notify you by mail or if you wish a phone call first. I always have them make the reservations automatically, they will send a confirmation in the mail. You can always call MS and just check. Hope that helps.
