Waiting is soooo hard! 110 days to go!

Everyone thinks we will end up with twins, as we have twins on both sides of the family, that really would be hard work lol

Not sure I could cope with twins! My cousin is having identical twins, due in September. Scary!

I work with children and we have 9 babies in a day with 3 of us looking after those 9, so I'm pretty sure I'd manage with twins but I honestly think I'd prefer having 1 lol

I work with teenagers which is enough to put me off having any! Haha

Don't do it, they cost far too much :rotfl2:
The Guardian estimate it costs £222000 to raise a child to 21, I don't think I would be far out if I doubled that figure, no idea how people afford more than one.

Before having kids i couldnt believe it could possibly be that much. Now ive got 2 ( DD is 3 next week and DS is 6months) i can very well see it being double.

Childcare costs are so much more than i ever thought. We have a relatively "cheap" nusery at £42 per day. Some of my friends pay over £50 a day. Thats £250 a week for just one child if you have to work full time.

Nursery fees are crazy now but they struggle to survive, our local one Matt went to closed last year, cost her too much in running costs.

Our biggest expense has been holidays, this summer will be Matts 60th trip abroad in his 18 years, dread to think what those total http://mathewgillings.wordpress.com/holidays/

Have you taken him on enough holidays?! Haha. Thought I was bad, Florida will be my 41st holiday! I like that Florida gradually took over! I keep a list like that too :)

60th wow im impressed. Our next trip will be Megans 5th (4th to WDW). Its our first 'expensive' trip with her though - now she needs her own seat, tickets and our last trip outside of school holidays. Dreading paying for flights in peak seasons.

Nursery fees are just the start - we now have school fees as our local school is failing and so are both the local secondaries!

Mind you she is a spoilt little princess who has has 10 trips to WDW before her 5th Birthday!

One of her friends mums is currently pregnant so Chloe asked for a sister - I explained to her that she would have to change schools (she loves her school) and we would not be able to go to Disney as much and it made her change her mind :rotfl:

I do not want to even think how much she will cost us by the time she leaves home..,

Wow I can well see that being double the estimated cost! Babies/kids are expensive! We had the big talk about whether to have more kids now or more holidays. We choose the kids - it was close though lol. This holiday will be our last WDW holiday for about 10 years (I'd rather aim for 5 but ssssshhhh don't tell DH lol!) as we'd love a big family and don't want to go back til our family is complete! Kinda sad seeing as our countdown is nearly over!! Already anticipating the rotten WDW blues though we're talking of going to Spain for 4 days in August its just not the same :(
