Waiting is soooo hard! 110 days to go!

I hated the waiting so much that we moved it forward a year. :rotfl:

We'd already booked a holiday somewhere else this summer, so it was originally booked for next October.

119 days for us .....or 17 weeks today.

I like using weeks because on every gloomy Monday morning I am able to say in so many weeks today we will be at the airport/ on the plane/ just arriving etc and then on the Tuesdays I say in so many weeks today it will be our first day and we will be on ride and later at Cheesecake Factory.

It doesn't make it seem so long when you say it in weeks, does it? I get a mixture of excitement and panic when I realise that 114 days is only 16 weeks!

So much to do, so little time!!

20 days for us! Can't WAIT! I started the countdown at 286 days and I know I have everyone gone crazy with my incessant WDW chatter but I just can't help it! I think I'll explode with excitement when we hit single digit days!!!! :goodvibes

Ohhhhh single digits I can only imagine how that would feel! Not long for you now though! Have fun :-)

We booked last June, so around 300 days ago, and now we just have 13 days left until we go. I literally can't believe it is here - I feel like so much has happened since we booked it!

As a PP said, once you hit double digits, it'll fly by! I promise you, before you know it, you'll be packing your case and worrying if you now have everything :rotfl2:

I've watched the countdown on my phone every night, and like I say, just can't believe how fast it has gone down!

Happy countdown-ing :)

I am already finding things that i will need to pack for the holiday! It's all stored in one box, so hopefully when it comes to packing i will actually be organised!

How long you there for?

149 days for my family.

156 for me!

Fortunately my sister as organised the tickets and dolphins.

I just need to start putting some feelers out for an engagement ring.

Almost at the double digit mark - getting excited as its our first stay onsite.

A little marred at the moment as mother in law not well - she is going for a scope today as her oesophagus is almost obstructed - thinking probable cancer. She's not well and hasn't been for a while. Hubby's Dad also died of cancer a few years back, so bringing memories back.
Also concentrating on getting the last of the holiday paid off (thank god I kept making smaller payments through complete orlando, so don't have much to go now) - thats due 1st June.
The new Sky Disney Channel is brill for those fixes! :thumbsup2

The waiting is driving me nuts - 82 days to go but it has been a long time coming - think it seems longer because we had to cancel our planned in October.

I will need to find all these you-tube videos everyone is talking about and see if they help:thumbsup2

Oh they do help especially the stef and Jeff ones they are just brilliant

Down to 106 days now :-) soon be in double digits! That's when I'll be really excited! The holiday gets paid off next weekend so that'll be a huge weight of our shoulders lol, then saving the spending money really kicks in, but that'll be easy to save knowing that the more we save, the more we have to spend! And I love to shop!!! Anyone know how much money you can take into America (Orlando)?

Latecomer to this thread but only 6 days to go!
:cool1:

Your travel insurance will only cover about £100-300pp anymore than that should be either in travellers cheques or credit cards. I only take a couple of hundred $'s rest on credit card.
Over the years I have read too many threads of people losing money, money goning misiing from hotel rooms, villas being broken into, safes smashed etc.(thankfully none recently) I know chances are very small of something like that happening but I don't see the point in taking any risks.
I think the custmes form asks if you have more than $10,000 IIRC.

Are travellers cheques accepted everywhere out there? Only (I'm going back some years now) but in 2007 we went to Canada and took travellers cheques and had a big issue with places accepting them, like pretty much everywhere didn't want to take them! So we kind of got stuck as most of our money was in travellers cheques!

I haven't used them for over 10 years now, I have saved £100's using a fee free credit card instead. Like this trip if I had exchanged into cash or TC before we flew we would have got $1.46-1.49 compared to using my card I got $1.50-$1.53 although it can work against you I just prefer using a CC for security, after losing my wallet with over £500 in a few years ago I know how easy it is to seriously disrupt a holiday in a foreign country with no money.
So I only know from reading various forums, a few years back Golden Corral restaurants stopped taking them, not sure if they do now, not been in one for years. Also a Walmart on Hwy 192, I believe they now take them again, apart from that I have read about anyone else not taking them.

That's very true time has flown by since January! Only seems like yesterday I was being walked down to theatre for surgery and its actually already been 3 months and 13 days :-0 that's crazy, your right it'll soon fly by :-)

I quite like the waiting because it means I have a Disney trip booked. It's the not waiting I really dislike!

True I do like the whole build up to a holiday to Disney world :-) I guess it's part of the fun really, it's nice that my fella is excited as he hasn't been since he was 14 and is now 28 so it'll be amazing for him :-) and me and mum have not been since summer 2010 so also a lot of changes since we went to! We cannot wait to see the new fantasyland and we are staying at the art of animation resort so we have many exciting things to look forward to.

I personally think I'm finding it harder to wait because so many people around me are going on holiday soon that its making me want mine even more :-\ I guess the wait will be worth it on the Long run :-)

DBF said to me yesterday that he can't wait till we've been so I stop talking about it! Ouch! I'm sure when he's there he'll love it but I don't think he really knows what to expect. I'm so excited because I know how good it is and I've always wanted to stay at YC and loads will have changed because I haven't been for 8 years :)

Wow 8 years he'll realise why you've been talking about it so much when he gets there!! YC looks lovely, would love to stay at a resort better than a value but it puts the cost up so much we cannot warrant it, as we literally only sleep and shower there, we never go back during the day unless we have been to a water park and then its only to shower and go straight back out! We only used the pool once out of the 2 weeks we were there last time to, so really couldn't spend any more money on somewhere we hardly see! But they do look amazing for sure
