Waiting for Rest of Fall 2015 Room Only Discount

This is just weird... So I'm going for the nights of Mon Nov 9 and Tues Nov 10. I saw no discounts for POFQ or AKL standard rooms on orbitz. After seeing the suggestion to look it one night at a time I found an AKL standard room disney discount for Tues night but not Mon. (Orbitz also running 48hrsale coupon code which is good for 1 night stays fyi so I grabbed that night and stacked the discounts.) I went on the Disney website and checked every night individually Sun Nov 8 through Tues Nov 10 and they said "We are unable to show rates at this time. Please try again or check back later." for every single property I tried under the fall room only links before I just crashed out of the site. Looks like we might be the victims of technical difficulties... (And that one night I snagged the AKL standard room at Disney's discounted rate on orbitz? it also doesn't show up on the Disney website.) On the lol side, I clicked that "chat" link that pops up sometimes on disney's site for the first time... and it said "call this number" ROFL.

Ugh! The website is not even working right for me. It's not showing any discount even when going through the discount link. Orbitz is showing the same price as the regular price at Disney. Have they loaded all of the discounts on orbitz yet?

Disappointed Pop, as well as all the mods are not available for our dates. I won't switch to All Stars as the savings is minimal. First time in 12 years I am paying rack rate. But hey I'm going to WDW! And bless my TA for getting up at the crack of dawn to try.

That message in chat happens when the site is having technical difficulties, as it seems to be having quite a bit today.

This is the first time in years I'm paying rack rate too. So bummed but we have been so spoiled by Disney lol. Something may open up later. My TA is going to keep checking for me. She was shocked this morning at how awful the availability was.

Looks like we arrive around the same time. you were able to get a royal room with no problem w/ the discount? My TA was on first thing and couldn't. Did you cut the end of your stay short or your check-in day?

I cut off 2 days in the beginning and just booked AS Sports for those 2 days at the discount. The 5-7 falls during Jersey Week which is why there weren't any rooms available (I think). Don't mind though since we will mostly be doing things off Disney property those 2 days anyways. Then switch to POR RR on Saturday.

My TA was up all night waiting to see what time the RO would go live so she could start booking for her clients immediately, her and another agent. As soon as it showed, there was almost availability at many of the resorts and that was immediately! I am going to be hopeful that rooms are going to start popping up like they did with Free Dining. I find it hard to believe that all bookings for this discount were close to gone right when it went live online.. I don't know.

After playing around with Orbitz, I got POR garden view for $131 a night (Dec. 13-15)! I also had $10 in orbucks for signing up for their rewards program so it would have been $136.

Thank you so much for the Orbitz idea! I had BWV booked for 11/14-11/21 with no discount. I just booked BWI through Orbitz and saved $951.13 plus earned $66.91 in Orbucks!!

No, I wouldn't do it. Not for $230. Especially if you're going to squeeze in the F&W festival. I only changed from the BWV to POR because there were no appreciable discounts or availability at the other deluxes, and my cost went from $404/night to $161. That is a total of $1944 difference for us.

Thank you for the reply. I agree - I really want to enjoy walking to/from Epcot for the F&W festival and think staying anywhere else but the Epcot area resorts would take away from that experience. I was able to book through Orbitz just now and switch from BWV to BWI to save $$!

I checked this morning at 6am and GF, Poly, BWI, AK had rooms but not in most categories. POFQ has river view rooms. I think you have to do what the PP said her TA did- stay up all night and wait for it to go live and book immediately.

I had a bad feeling based on the equally lame Free Dining offer. Which is why we booked Pop, we have three trips planned in the next year and decided this one would be the most budget minded. First world problems but still a bummer!

I like the rooms at BWI better than the studios. I think they feel bigger without the kitchenette. Plus at the Inn you'll be closer to Epcot!

I didn't expect much availability because there wasn't a lot of availability for my dates 11/12-11/19 without a discount. I was hoping for POR preferred which is still available at rack rate but couldn't get with a discount. I booked POR GV for now but will keep checking-maybe they will have an AP discount for a preferred room.

There's not really any particular deal. They just tend to discount the rooms when the Disney discounts come out, plus they pretty much always have a 10% or 15% (or rarely a 20%) coupon code floating around.
