Waiting for late Nov/Dec Southwest tickets?

I talked to a rep who was frustrated with the lack of schedule. She said she fields more calls everyday about Nov,Dec and Jan and she cannot undertstand why its only open until 10-29. She said they usually are open 5-6 months out. She has heard it will be any day now? We need a Jan Flight and fares to Texas are awful right now

Well, we're back from our No-Internet vacation and still no dates! I called a few times when I could get a cell phone signal and the reps basically laughed and agreed that it is silly. I think they will lose some business around the holidays because of this since people are getting too nervous to wait around.

I will wait since I want Non-Stop out of Buffalo and SW is the only airline to offer it. JetBlue is still high for my dates ($136 each way) so there is no temptation there.

One person said the 6th, another said definitely the 8th... lol

Maybe tomorrow? Tuesday? Maybe not?

Good luck everyone! I hope they come out decently low for a bit before they raise them. And I hope my date isn't blacked out for the good rates.

SW is my homepage now... how sad is that?

why get annoyed at something you cannot control? IMHO, it is a waste of emotion.

I agree - if there are other flights at good prices where you want to go, book them.

If not, what real difference does it make if you book it this week or next month? You're not leaving until Nov or later anyway?

I understand the frustration - I'd like to get it over with too. But just think of all the other people booking with other more expensive airlines because they can't be patient. More seat availability for us!

Patience, grasshopper. Good things come to those who wait.

Did you notice today SWA accepted delivery of their 400th aircraft? How cool is that?

Another Tuesday morning and I jump out of bed early . . . . nothing yet . . . . still waiting . . . . .

Just called SWA to see if they have any more info and the very polite agent stated, "We are currently only open until October 29, but you can certainly check back as often as you like as we are expecting the December flights soon"

In other words....no news! However, I was glad to see the Florida destinations still on there for this Tuesdays systemwide specials! I thought for sure they were waiting until last week specials expired to release the flights!!

Just think how satisfied we will all be once they finally release the dates and we book our flights!!! Let's keep our fingers crossed for later today!!!

Someone please call the customer service number (214) 792-4223 and see what they say this week. Last week when I called I got "sometime middle to 3rd week of July". I don't think they open until 9 am Texas time (central).

I called customer service again today, and he said they are planning to open the schedule sometime between the 15th and the 17th of this week (which matches what the last CS rep told me last week).
